How is Sporano a damn good coach? Is that what the fanbase was saying when he was coaching the Cowboys? Dolphins? Or is it that now that he's a Jet, he's damn good? What has he done to make anyone think he is damn good?
I'll speak for the Cowboys , we all wanted him back as an OL coach when Ross fired him , pretty much to a man, I'll go back and dig up thread tomorrow in the cowboy forums. Not a good head coach, but probably a real good coordinator
We tied GA Tech. Didn't play Vandy that year. They were 1-10 (beating Memphis), so it probably would've been an interesting game.
Has he ever been a coordinator? And were you really that impressed with what he did with the OL in Miami? Really? Marc Columbo?
I will take that as a compliment. One of my best friends is a huge Cowboy fan so I am used to the back and forth.
I admit I am not too informed about the Jets defense. I can rant for an hour about the Packers pathetic defense and how letting Cullen Jenkins go to the Eagles was a mistake, but I regress. I think my perception of the Jets defense is more from the last 3 or 4 years and the fact that Rex is a good defensive coach. I do think that locker room dynamics play a big part in the effort a defense puts forth (ex Denver last year). Somebody on the defense needs to step up and be a leader. It doesn't appear Revis is that guy.
