yep. The Defense was solid BECAUSE of Revis. His performance that year masked the deficiencies in front 7 pass rush, and allowed Rex to send those crazy blitzes.
other than being the best player on 2 teams that were incredibly close to SBs. Revis was a difference maker, no one plays his position better. is it smart to tie up all your cap space in a corner? that's a different discussion but he's a guy who helps teams win but he can't do it all by himself. He very well may be the missing piece in NE.
because you're a troll and everyone here knows it. clearly you are a closet pats fan or a trolling pats fan. look at this post, more detail about and praise for the pats D than any of the bullshit you've posted about the Jets. At this point I really do hope you're a troll actually, because if you really are a jets fan, you are probably the worst fan ever, in all of sports. I can't even call you gay because I respect a guy who can take it up the ass 100x more than I do you.
There's something to be said for laid-back mods but sometimes you just have to pull the trigger. You want to be a Pats troll? Fine. But don't lie and say you're a Jets fan.
Back on topic: Revis has played in 104 NFL games to date. His teams are 50-54 in those games. That's why the notion of franchise CB just doesn't fly. A franchise QB after 104 games would be at least 10 games better than Revis is and probably more than that. As good a player as Revis is his skills do not translate into wins in the NFL. They translate into "put a good team around me and we'll maybe make the playoffs."
I want 3: for myself and both kids. Just gotta find a way to make sure they don't wear it to school. And a poster for the office too
The guy played 48 of those 104 games under Mangini and Schiano. The Jets surpassed the combined wins totals of those 3 seasons under Mangini and Schiano by week 10 of Rex's second season as HC and they "maybe" made it a few plays from the Super Bowl. Your crusade against Revis has always been pretty transparent.
