Theres a huge need for a scapegoat to eat up all the attention. If any Jet turns on Sportscenter all they hear is the Jets are the only team with 0 chance to win the superbowl. Everyone is ripping on the Jets right now saying we dont deserve to be here and we backed in so Im very happy and grateful that Rex stepped up the plate and said fuck all of you we do deserve to be here and better yet I think are going to win.
You are acting like Rex hasn't backed up his words... We are #1 in defense and rushing. We have made a playoff birth, and we still have a shot at the Superbowl. Unlikely, but that shot is there. We are in a great situation, you need to stop being so bitter over something that is obviously working for him and this team. If he needs to run his mouth in order to run this team the way he deems fit, then let it be. It isn't hurting a damn thing, who care what the media thinks? We are in the playoffs and nobody can take that a way from Rex or this team.
Wouldnt call it a season breaker either but Rikki is much more effective with limited carries. WHen Ronnie first went down Rikki did great but he slowed a bit because he was the feature back. But if Ronnie was still here that could have been the difference in a couple close games.
Rex is right. We've got the #1 D and the #1 rushing attack. We've won 5 out of 6 and the 6th was that gift to the Falcons. We have not been blown out, have been in every game, and have given away at least 4 games. What would the media be saying if the Jets were 13-3? Our record is what it is, but I love the position we are in and I love that we are getting trashed in the media. Us against the world! Bring it on!
Why the fuck are you guys fighting with a Dolphin fan? We obviously aren't going to fucking agree, and plus TheDon didn't even troll.
The Jets, regardless of their record, roll into the playoffs with a strong defense and running game. Most teams would kill for that. That makes us a tough team to face in the playoffs. Not saying we are better than every team in the playoffs, but we aren't a pushover. I doubt there are any QBs that are licking their chops ready to play us.
I agree with this statement 100% and as I've already posted on other threads I think you guys are a dangerous match up in the playoffs.
Ryan's just deflecting attention from the team by putting it on himself. Lots of good coaches (Herb Brooks, Brian Billick and Steve Spurrier to name a few) have done it with with great success.
This is old news. He has been out of his fucking mind and has acted like one crazy son of a bitch since day one.
LOL fair enough. Hey the only thing that counts is if the players and fans like him and you guys seem to love him.
i love it...let him chirp...while the SOJ talk is at its highest frequency he drops that comment and its genius
not only bitter, but so fear stricken that his words will somehow hurt the team by motivating the opponents, one of the biggest fallacies in sports. getting amped up for a game last one or two plays and that is it. after that, it's all about who is simply better. if the Jets lose, it isn't because the opponent that beat them somehow played harder for sixty minutes than they would have because he talked a little smack.
You know when I think about it. Who gives a shit, have some fun. No one expects the Jets to win anyway, so there is no real pressure on the team. I would tell them to have fun, hit someone, and hey, the pressure is on the other team since the Bengals were just laying back last week.
