You're leaving out the part where Sherman tried to shake Crabtree's hand while saying "Hell of a game" and got shoved in the face for it. If anyone needs work on sportsmanship here it's Crabtree.
In that spot? I don't buy one bit of that being good sportsmanship on Sherman's part. Solid odds that Sherman was being sarcastic. Especially considering shortly afterwards he directed a choke sign at one of Crabtree's teammates.
You're just making assumptions, which is fine, but he shouldn't be slammed based on assumptions. In the audio for NFL films he doesn't sound sarcastic at all. He sounds very excited, but I don't sense sarcasm. As for the choke sign and the rant, if I was shoved in the face when I tried to shake a guy's hand my mood would change pretty quickly too.
His reputation before the title game doesn't allow me to want to give him the benefit of the doubt. You might be right. I don't know. I am exhausted of this. I am not going to spend anymore time writing about it again until the next Sherman incident. All my Super Bowl related comments have been about Sherman's antics of last Sunday night. Too many people, including myself, spent ridiculous amounts of time on this topic.
The one really valuable thing we learned from this interview: Erin Andrews is unqualified to be a sideline reporter.
