DWAZ73 Foley also has really brief history with Rex after being signed by Ravens as UFA in 2006 before being cut before training camp. #Jets

The Jets have announced that Foley has been claimed on waivers. With linebacker Calvin Pace out for multiple weeks and Jason Taylor taking his place, a competent performance by Foley could make it unnecessary to pursue linebacker Adalius Thomas. He signed!!
I played against this guy in university....we'll we both played D for our teams but they played each other. His school was early into what became a 49 game losing streak at that time, so I don't recall hearing much about him but I also wasn't in the offensive meetings so... If any of you paid attention to On The Fringe on NFL.com you will see that he is pretty one dimensional....like to the extent that if he rushes the passer and is not successful he is pretty much useless. He doesn't seem to keep his head on a swivel in run support and tends to easily get caught up in the wash or pushed away from the play.
http://onthefringe.nfl.com/?module=HP_cp2 Looks like he has a shot at practice squad. Hell I'd do it for the chance to be coached by Rex Ryan. He's got to be better than Gholston once he learns the system....gotta be.
