Jets are a joke, no one wants to play for them. Larry Allen signs with the 49'ers in two seconds, yet the freakin Jets can't seal the deal with anyone.
You guys sound shocked by now you all should know the jets could never get their first option in the draft or free agency.
Anybody know if Jeff Backus (lions) is still available he seems big 6'5'' 305 LT gives us a couple different options in the draft What do you think?
WAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH Runyan didn't wanna sign with us WAAAAHHHHHHHHH Same ol Jets WAAAAHHHHHH No body wants to play with us WAAAAAHHHHHH. Grow up people.
I think its safe to say that Brad Hopkins is the Jets next target, theyve already been showing interest in him. Id expect to see a deal in the next couple of days. And anybody who really believes that a 32 year old player choosing to resign with his old team is evidence of the Jets being an inferior franchise needs to get a clue. There are 32 teams in the NFL, the Jets arent going to get every player they want.
Would have been nice to have Runyan with Brick. It happens. It takes time to rebuild and get a better reputation. When Marvin Lewis got to Cinci NO ONE wanted to play there. Now look at the Bengals. These are just growing pains. As long as the FO has a good draft and shows it has a plan and direction, things will turn around. Patience people.
just a random comment... i saw the posting on kffl.com when it came out, but its not on there anymore...not sure what that means more than likely nothing at all but we signed some crappy FB
I think you may be right Stu. But then you know we must end up overpaying for Hopkins and he'll suck because we didn't get our original target, Runyan. Truly funny seeing the same reactionary spirit of Jets fans with the new regime.
Exactly. If the Eagles are going to pay him what he wants, and he's playing in the same system (for a good coach), it's a win win for him. Not to mention the fact that now he won't have to relocate.
I checked kffl, nfl.com, espn.com and the Eagles website and non of them were reporting that he had signed with anyone.
Thats good. Jets' don't need anymore old guys, just trying to finish there career near home. Saved Jets' some key cap-room.
