This one Eagles message board started a Runyan tribute thread, I guess they think this report is BS and that he's not coming back.
I didn't like the deal anyway. It was termed as a lucrative offer, and meanwhile the guy would only have a couple of years in him.
There's nothing on ESPN yet. I'm not saying it isn't true, but they still have yet to remove the rumor that the Jets are still in the market for him. Who knows?
I'd have liked to pick up Runyan, but I never got the sense that he was fired up to come to the Jets. Anyway, one way to look at this is to say that the Jets' eye for talent is good if the Eagles decided to resign him. They are typically adverse to re-upping older players, so he must have a good amount left in the tank and the Jets spotted it.
