Here's a question...Did Saban ever work on a Parcells staff, or is he strictly from the Belli Tree? It would be curious to note the relative success of Parcells v. strictly Belli guys...
Hahahah. I hope he leaves. I really do. The guy has had one good season. One bad. But I would think he would be taking this team onward and upward. Changing the coaching system would reset the whole thing. I think we should hope he leaves.
They are in chaos right now, the best thin for the rest of the divison is if he comes back much like Jimmy Johnson came back after wanting to quit following the '98 season.

Dolphins | Saban to accept Alabama coaching job Tue, 2 Jan 2007 14:05:00 -0800 Chris Mortensen, of ESPN, reports Miami Dolphins head coach Nick Saban will accept the job as the head coach of the University of Alabama football team, according to a team source. Saban has been quoted as saying he is "really struggling" with the decision.
True. Lou Holtz said it well on ESPN. In a bigtime college program you have 8 games where you will have better talent than the other team. So on an average year you can probably split your 4 tough games and go 10-2. You also can recruit 25 top players each year to mold your team. In the pro's you only get 1 first draft pick a year.
http://www.profootballtalk.com/rumormill.htm PFT just announced it for what its worth... That he is going to Bama
How great would it be if Mike Shula got the job. I saw his old man crying like a baby on MNF and saying how it wasn't his sons fault that Alabama stinks. Shulas = Losers!
Imagine how relieved Alabama fans and officials must feel right now. They are vindicated for the mess that has been this coaching search.
CBS is reporting Saban is heading to Alabama. I am kind of sad to see him leave the division. I think he is overrated and it would have been nice to keep him around a couple more years to beat up on the dolphins. In my opinion this is the right move for him because he is a much better college guy.
Good point... I never thought of that however, I don't think that's likely... Shula Jr. is an awful coach... but who knows!!!
