Oh so only Vince Young is worthy of being drafted this year. Bush had 177 yards rushing and receiving in that game.
I didn't say that did I. You made a comment that Bush was the best player in every game he played. If you don't think Young was the best player in the Rose bowl you weren't watching.
first off i didn't say that check again. and then i clearly implied that young was the best player in that game.
This will define Woody ownership & he should have already ordered Tanny to do what ever is necessary to secure Bush.
I don't want Woody dictating anything just supporting the GM and HC. These guys are going to run the show for the next 3 to 5 years at least let them buy the groceries.
I am sad to see you are that angry you feel the need to take the time to personally attack me. I don't always like your posts but there are many that I do respect and many I disagree with. But thats life isn't it. But no reason to get so upset over an internet comment.
Okay somewhat of a fair point let me put it to you differently, I can understand not wanting to give up the farm to get Bush but you implied that you would take DBrick over Bush straight up. Bush is the No. 1 or No. 2 guy on every board in the NFL.
While I like the excitement and gamebreaking potential of Bush I would rather have a football player that plays 60 plus plays a game rather than a guy who is in 20-30 plays a game. For him to be worth it those 20-30 plays would have to be pretty spectacular. Bith players could be busts or great value th end result is not of much diffefence. Rather its about philsophy. My point is philosphical that if your going to use a pick that high don't use it on a player who will be on the field only plays 20-30 plays a game. Although I do agree with you from a value perspective if Bush drops to 4 you would have to take him for value if you cannot immediatly trade him. But I would only do so to trade him.
We have a LT that today is better than D'Brick is likely to be next year, D"brick in 2 or 3 years will likely be better than Jones. We don't have a RB a return man or a guy who can catch the ball and break a game open nearly as good as Bush on our roster right now.
How do you know he's only a 20-30 play a game guy? Because he split time with White? White broke records at USC, he was pretty good too. How do you keep him off the field? When has Bush ever shown that he isn't capable of carrying the load. You're making a pretty bad assumption and if you were a GM you wouldn't be one for long thinking that way.
RB's IMO are a dime a dozen and have short lifepans. You can find RB's in every round of the draft. They are not good value in the 1st round. Teams are built around their lines. I would rather build for the furure ny picking football players over specialists than build a team for marketing hype with Bush. All that being said I am glad that Bush is not in our division.
