I voted between 50 - 75 times. I truely believe 3 TDs against the Titams and a 3-0 start for a rookie is heads and sholders above what Detroit did to the lowly Redskins.
Greg Cook started the first three games for the Bengals in 1969 and they won all three games. He would have been an all-time great had he not gotten injured in that third game. Cook did come back later that season and had one of the best rookie seasons ever by a QB. He was the precursor to John Elway. He only played in one game after that season (the opener in 1973). Bill Walsh had to change the Cincinnati offense in 1970 due to the loss of Cook. Virgil Carter was the new Bengals QB. He had a weak arm. This caused Walsh to develop a passing attack based on short, timed throws. This is essentially where the "West Coast Offense" got its start.
QB Mark Sanchez has been named the NFL offensive rookie of the month. - CBS had this on their little team update sections
