Poole and Austin have looked like really nice pieces to the D I agree.

Maulet I also agree we need to see more to know if he’s anything more than a guy you bring back to compete for a roster spot.

Roberts I really liked but is having a bad season. Not sure what to make of him anymore but seems better as depth than starter.

TJ has to go he’s been straight stealing from the team. We need one more good CB.

I'm curious to see Austin in more man coverage before I believe he's a player. Although he could just be a really good zone corner. He hasn't really been tested and we've played a lot of cover 2, which means the corner is responsible for the sticks + flat with safety help over the top.

This should be a little bit of a better test against a better receiver in Tyler Boyd this week.

But there's also a misnomer that you can't be a good zone corner who isn't that good at man coverage. Ronde Barber comes to mind. Modern day example is the two corners in San Diego.

Roberts is Kyle Wilson 2.0. I'd like to see if a defensive coach can really work with him on balls skills. He's always with the receiver, he just panics when the receiver motions to catch the ball and doesn't turn his head around. It's so frustrating to watch, but it's also an extremely tough skill.
