Damn Zach...relax, it's only a game. Calling me names is absurd. All you had to say was that you think the Jets will win less games than last season with the new offensive scheme installed
it's pretty desperate when the sample size given of 9 games over four years, has 3 games listed which the Jets actually won.. That brings the sample down to 6 games 'blown', of which blaming 3 games on the D is a joke. the biggest of which would be Miami in 2011, when the offense literally imploded right in the huddle.
yeah i highly doubt this...i'd like to know which WR said this because that makes no sense for the WCO let alone any NFL offensive system. granted the WR may have a route option to make a decision based on coverage within parameters, but I doubt they are playing parking lot football.
Not sure if we're talking about the same interview but I saw one with Braylon discussing the freedom in route running in Morningwoods system but it was different than what you're saying. Braylon said they have freedom in the route running so long as they get to the right location at the right time. So they can do whatever (within reason) to get to the exact right spot (predefined) so long as they get there at the right time.
Acad, http://www.westcoastoffense.com/bill walsh article 1.htm There to go. And to clear up some of the sanchez argument, there are basically 3 versions of modern offense, mafter Paul Brown.., Coryell (schitty Schotty) Earhardt Perkins (weiss) WCO (walsh) JFTR, Id take Weiss playbook from 2004, over Martyball.
Its not difficult. Its blinded by hate. You dont even like Sanchez. And he managed 6 wins, with Sparano,gilyard,gates,rueland...while Holmes,Hill,Keller mossed 30 games Last year, where the Sanchez haters, scream "BRADFORD HAD. A CAREER YEAR" with Steven Jackson , they finished....23rd?
Immediately. Its mimics what Sanchez did in college, and of you understood the difference between WCO, and the Coryell branch Schotty employs..,it would be crystal clear. Go ro NFL.com, watch the St.Louis game. Martyball, vs. Coryell. In that game, Bradford...looks like.....Sanchez? ( you know in his career year) FWIW, sanchez can be a dynamic QB. The problem is on ths day and age, not throwing to the backs (2012) or going outside and or down and outside 2009-2011, are losing formulas. Its really that simple.
Blinded by hate????? HAHAHAHA ~ I'm blinded by love of the NYJ. But since we had TWFO in the NFL last season - improvement should expected given the personnel improvements and coaching improvements. You'd have to be 1 dark dark dark a$$... dark sider to expect TWFO in the NFL to actually get worse after changing out the OC and QB coach, revamping the OL, drafting a superstar college QB and bringing in a new bell cow RB... I don't think John Idzik made those moves to suck again. If you seriously expect the O to not improve then you must also expect that Idzik will be fired for incompetence.
1. Nacho managed FIVE. GMac won one for Nacho - and El taco loco did his very best to lose the game that day too. Remember, I said THE OFFENSE managed six wins, not Nacho. 2. St. Louis scored 299 total points. Like I said they would. Brian sucks. Unless if you ask Junc.
I was speaking more or less in terms of the offense generally..... While Nacho couldnt stop throwing the ball to Cards, the line did him no favors in that game. The difference in OL play was noticeable after he was out. They might have managed a more comfortable Victory had he been taken out at half time. And, while I know no one takes the time to go back and watch the Jets play St.Louis, (where Schotty should at least have a slight help in knowing the defense), you see all of the same things. 2 yard completions that take 5 seconds to develop, Bradford patting the ball, waiting for routes to develop. Throws a pick to Eric Smith, outside the numbers, and then has Lankster drop a pick six because he tried to throw another 5 yard out, outside the numbers. I cannot for the life of me understand how Fisher hired him.
Look at Nacho's picks. The OL gave nacho more than enough time in more than half of these picks. The WRs didn't do their jobs well but if that's the case, nacho should have thrown the ball away.
Awww...I almost feel bad for Hobbes when he calls out to his "supporters" and they in turn shit on his poor logic.
Careful Hobbes...any mention of Bill Walsh causes Zach to have a hissy fit. I'm not quite sure why he thinks we'll win less games this year with an improved offense, but he seems content with that. I read the link and I like the overall scheme, but it looks like the skill players really need to be on their toes every play...and I'm still not sold on Sanchez's ability to not only make the correct read, but deliver the ball in a timely an accurate manner. I still think it's gonna take some games before it gels. Luckily the back half of the schedule looks soft.
I was at the game. He was harrassed pretty steadily. That doesnt excuse his picks....but the line play was far better once he was benched. And one of the picks was a 50plus javelin heave down the middle of the field....which, given his play in The game even calling that let alone throwing was insane. However, strictly relating to the line play, about 100 yards of the games rushing total came, once McElroy was put in the game with roughly 5 minutes left in the third qtr., considering that the Jets went up 7-6 after the pass to Cumberland, the Jets were still rippingoff big chunks.
Well, in fairness, thats a very old article...but it catches the gist of it. In Nachos case , it cuts down on the reads, and the necessity to wait three days for a two yard pass play to develop.
I see a pattern here. Although the numbers are impressive, the first year is always a doosie for the new QB. You almost have to spot the starter year one. It is almost possible to look at this and predict that Sanchez will start and struggle get booted then next year Geno will struggle and three seasons from now the offense might click. Of course based on stats. : )
Bill Walsh mention doesn't. Your stupidity does. On top of that, I demand you to find the post where I said Jets will win less games than last year in this thread. Like, right now.
This meager thread couldn't possibly contain all your nonsense. I don't know why your so angry with me Zach. Is it because you can't name a team that You really haven't added anything substantial to this discussion other than calling me stupid, illiterate, and retarded. Oh yeah, you said the Jets O would 14-18th, from 23rd and that Matt Millen is a fucking idiot. Thanks for that.
Because you are. Read what I said above again. Where IN THIS THREAD did I say that? I am sure I said something of that tune in the expectation thread, more or less out of knee-jerk reaction. So, IN THIS THREAD, where?
THIS THREAD was about how quickly the new offense would get their mojo working, not an opportunity for you to contradict yourself. So let us know when we can start taking you seriously. Take your time...it's still pre-season.
