Sure hope not. I'd rather go to a day game.

The Broncos cannot be flexed into primetime anymore. They now will be in 6 prime time games which is the limit for a single season.

If the Giants-Skins game is completely meaningless there is a good chance the Jets-Dolphins get moved in. Its really up to NBC. NFL audienes generally dont care whos playing, as long as the game is meaningful it will draw interest. Thats why that Packers-Vikings had a worse rating than the world series which is a first for a long time. And no it had nothing to do with the Vikings, its the fact that the Vikings suck is why no one watched. Heading into the season it looked like a decent matchup but the Vikings collapsed making the game less meaningful. In the Vikings were in the playoff race it would have killed the world series. If the Giants/Skins are both out of it then its not going to be in primetime. Also flexing the Jets in means that Fox can show the Giants game at 1:00 because the Jets wont be playing at 1:00.

The Giants-Packers game got flexed to 4:25 cuz we are playing the Bills at 1:00. Also again the reason Giants-Packers got flexed was because the Giants are irrelevant ATM. If they are irrelevant in 2 weeks, the NFL will flex the 13 game. They have to do it 12 days prior so after the conclusion of week 11 we will know.

I hope it doesn't get flexed. Also if Giants win the next 2 games, Week 13 game will be meaningful. NBC might keep it.

Other than us Jet fanatics, nobody in America cares about the Jets and NOBODY cares about the Dolphins. Not even fans in most of Florida.

The myth that this is a big "east coast" matchup is just that, a myth. Nobody cares other than our two fan bases. There are about 9 or 10 "east coast" teams--not sure Jets-Miami is any more enticing than any of the Philly, Washington NYG matchups or any game involving the Cheatriots versus any other east coast team. It's a legendary match-up for us, not so much for the rest of the country.

Peyton Manning is the face of the NFL having an all-time season--they'd put him on the national game for 16 weeks of the season and show a replay on their bye week if they could get away with it.

I believe if the Gmen beat the Raiders and Packers they will stay in primetime. With A. Rodgers out now 3 weeks the Giants might beat the Pack.

Also down the line there is a Packers-Falcons game that is 100% going to get flexed out, I dont think the Jets have good opponent though so we should be safe.

Worked in 2009 when we crushed the bengals...of course they had nothing to play for but still was a fun game.

    doubtful

the week 17 game at Miami is a much move logical FLEX if both teams are postseason involved but that probably won't happen since the Miami Bullies will probably be well below .500 by then and the Jets will be in range to clinch the division title by going to 12-4 with a win

I think the Dolphins are going to be right in it to the end. Think these guys are gonna rally together despite what is going on and play solid football... Hope I am wrong but I have a feeling.

    have to disagree

1 They are now missing 2/5 of their starting OL

2 Regis, Ireland are very probably going to be fired

3 Ryan Leaf Tannehill is a mistake machine likely to cost them at least 3 or 4 games before week 17

There is a chance the Week 13 game against Miami is flexed.

CBS originally protected both KC- Denver games (Week 11 and Week 13). The NFL negotitated with CBS tollow the flexing of the Week 11 game to Sunday Night. There is no way CBS relinqueshes Week 13 as well.

I bet the Skins - Giants game stays. They both could be back in the Division hunt by them. But so many things can happen with any of the games that look attractive between now and two weeks when NBC has to make a decision.

Stokes, if you haven't noticed the Jets are discussed more than any team other than maybe the Cowboys.
Also factor in they are in the biggest market in the NFL, and have a charismatic coach defying all odds with a playoff push against a divisional foe coming off a scandal.
That is exactly the type of interest the NFL drools over.

All that said....I'd rather the game remain daytime.

The Giants have the Raiders and Packers. The Redskins have the Vikings and Eagles. If both teams split then the Giants will be 3-7, and the Redskins 4-6. The Cowboys have to play the Saints and have a bye. If the Cowboys drop to 5-5 then realistically after week 11 the Redskins will be a 1 game behind if not tied with the Cowboys. Keep in mind the decision must be made 12 days before the game so NBC has to make a choice right after week 11.

If the Skins are at 5 wins or Giants are at 4 wins which is realistic, and the Cowboys are 5-5 assuming the Saints beat em, then I think NBC sticks with the Skins-Giants game. My prediction

    Redskins 4-6 or 5-5
    Giants 4-6 or 3-7
    Cowboys 5-5

Make your decision based off that.

The Giants have the Cowboys week 12 and the Redskins have the 49ers. That game has a chance to be for 1st place if the Giants beat the Cowboys week 12 and get to 5-6.

The NFC East is pathetic. Any team that starts off 0-6 and still has a chance at the division is ridiculous

Names are generally irrelevant. The Packers and Giants got flexed over the Broncos and the Chiefs. Those teams dont even stack up against the Packer or Giants popularity yet they were moved. NBC knows people watch if the game if it is meaningful or not. If its not meaningful people dont watch, if it is meaningful people will watch no matter the team. I actually remember people thinking Super Bowl 43 would bomb after Super Bowl 42 because the Cardinals were in it, as it turns out more people watched the Steelers beat the Cardinals over the Giants ending the undefeated Pats season.

From the looks of it though the game will be meaningful at the time the decision must be made, especially if the Cowboys get killed in New Orleans this Sunday night.

i'd love a primetime game and i could definitely see it happening. rex is a serious coach of the year candidate and this defense is A LOT of fun to watch. also people are infatuated with rookie QBs and them winning and with Geno having that game winning drive against the falcons, I think it's possible.

Also, everyone has an opinion on the jets. Everyone either wants them to fail miserable or succeed. I want this game, I love it when our defense gets recognition

I can confirm this, the Jets will be in more primetime games next season. Prolly back to the 4-5 we were getting in 2010 and 2011.

Noone can seriously say that the Giants-Skins game will be as entertaining as the Denver-KC game based on how this season has transpired. Yes they could be battling for first. However that's for first place in the weakest division in football this year.

They will probably keep it in that slot if the division is still up for grabs for both teams. However the Denver-KC is the WAY more attractive game to any casual NFL fan, no contest.
