That's great stuff. And lost in the shuffle here is what a chilling disappointment this guy has been so far (pre season included) trying to return these kicks. Here the Jets are just trying to bend over backwards and getting him this job and there is just problem after problem after problem. What the HELL is going on with this guy? Its an awful shame too because I think the skills are present here to be an absolutely awesome return guy and extra RB if he was sure-handed on the catching part.

Nice studs and duds list SGB. Pretty much would have been mine exactly. Enunwa really did have a rough go yesterday. If the Jets somehow magically knew the Bronco's were going to roll over and die on us instead of competing we probably would have been better served to sit Q out for the week and let him heal up.

Main stud(s) in my mind have to be the O-line. Really had a very impressive bounce back performance in a big way against a great front. If this continues then my entire attitude would change about this team.

So the other LBs didn’t play pass coverage?

All of them did and not only did the rest of the LB play coverage but they made their share of plays as well.

This may come as a surprise to you but I don’t believe Lee will be part of the Jets future after his fourth year.

Mac will probably offer him a low money contract and he will leave as a FA.

sigh..... Lee clearly had an assignment for the game and lucky for us he decided to stick to that assignment rather than run around and
do the things you expected of him.

With the way Lee has played so far in the first 5 games, Macc would be pretty stupid to lowball him and let him walk.

Nice post, agree on all cylinders. I've gotta ask, though. You've only been a Jets fan since 2015?! Welcome to the fold, but I hope you have a high threshold for pain. And that you own stock in Rolaids.

I disagree, while he played great in the game against Detroit, to believe the position he’s in now can’t be upgraded that’s being short sided and thinking as a fan.

Williamson is already proven to be more of a presence and this is his first year in a new system.

If position can’t be upgraded then yes re-sign him.

When Belicheat drafted not one, but TWO tight ends at the top of the 2010 draft (some beer chugging clown named Gronkowski and a bloods gang member named Hernandez) the NFL chuckled. The hoodie had finally lost his mind. But the laugh was on us.

So when Macc drafted not one, but TWO safeties at the top of 2016 draft I knew better than to chuckle. What Belicheat did for NE's offense with his double dipping TE draft, Macc may have done for our defense with his drafting of Adams (expected) followed in round 2 of Maye (unexpected). Games like the Broncos were fantastic to watch. If only Maye had eaten one more cheerios Sunday morning for breakfast! Side note: Bowles said watching Maye run back the int was like watching it in slow motion! I agree. At the time I thought Maye didn't really want to score, rubbing it in and all, and was looking to take a knee. He was running 1/2 speed and undecided the whole way. But when Denver failed to take him down during the first 100 yards he didn't know what to do!

Haha @jetophile! It is weird after being a fan of the league for so long and following and loving the Seahawks for 15 years straight and not missing a game. Only to hate them with a passion after seeing all my relatives and the entire state of Washington suddenly become the biggest SH fans. I don’t know why I’m jealous like that but I guess I hate that I invested all my time supporting and that its finally paid off then folks come out of the woodwork. I understand that it’s part of sports and every team has a fan base like that... but it becomes unbearable at my family reunions to hear my cousins, uncles, and aunts talk and brag about their home state team. They didn’t even know I was a die hard Seahawks fan and I said nothing. So I know for a fact when I go to family reunions I will be the only one reppin NYJ! My oldest brother (who’s a Bears fan) bought me my 1st NYJ item which is a military style New Era fitted hat! It is probably one of the best hats I’ve seen! Love the addiction and the rush from watching a bad team slowly grow into one of the premier teams. And I just get the feeling NYJ will be there not to long from now.

SGG I agree with most of your list, as usual.

That Cannon muff was terrible and could have easily gone the other way if called differently on the field. He basically fumbled to air. He's got the physical speed and ability but he's not there mentally, yet.

It was nice to see Williams excel given the criticism since Mo and Sheldon left.

Enunwa had a rough game, he seemed a little off, like he was in some discomfort. Something happened to his thumb, I think he had a special glove on to keep it still, that would explain a lot.

Myers hasn't been mentioned, but he gave us the Folk treatment and nailed the long FGs but missed a chip shot.

    He didn't have any pick 6s. He's a dud.

Fwiw PFF has Lee ranked one spot above Williamson in its linebacker rankings on the year.

It’s because they don’t watch every second of the game and unfortunately “impact” is not a stat casual onlookers can measure.

Cannon, it was Justin Milleresque. Remember that play? No, wait, don't. In fact, hopefully you weren't born yet. That fumbled fair catch was awarded. I tore out my arm hair in my seat. One of the many nervous tics that the Jets have gifted me with.

As to Myers, I used to call Folk Edward Shortshanks. I handed Myers the torch in the game thread. He earned it.

Edward Longshanks being King Edward I. He didn't drop the ball, but did die on his way to fight the Scots. A nation he never beat, despite his other nickname 'The Hammer of the Scots'.

daron lee is currently rated by PFF as the 16th best LBer in the NFL overall this season so far. that's out of about 112 starting LBers . that puts him in the top 15% in the NFL. that's the same as being a top 5 QB. willaimson is rated 18th. our ILbs are excellent as it is and we shouldn't look to change that.

yes they do. they watch every play from the player and grade them on a play by play basis. you can have a huge impact sack but suck the rest of the game and get a failing grade

Hey, you guys remember when Trenton Cannon fumbled three times on returns in the preseason?! Because the coaches do not. He had no business being on PR now that we have Roberts. I understand Roberts was hurt on that play, but the last specialist I want catching punts out there is Trenton Cannon.
