Nope that is not true at all. The beauty of this country is that he doesn't have to stand up, or show respect to anyone, and doesn't break any laws while doing so.

The whole ass kicking thing is called street justice and it is alive and well, I assure you.

He doesn't but he was being disrespectful about it while not showing his respect. There is a difference, if he doesn't want to pay his respects to the 3000 men, women and children who lost their lives on 9-11 he doesn't have to but to piss all over them by talking and being rude during the playing of taps is BS. I live 2500 miles from New York but I gotta tell you of all days for somebody to act a fool in this way that certainly makes me wanna kick his ass. Throw in he intentionally brought an illegal weapon into the stadium probably with the intent to use it and I think this guy had an agenda. I'm not buying the devout Jehovah's Witness line of crap at all.

I never served in the military but it pisses me off when people joke around during the anthem or look like they could care less. That's their choice and I can't say anything to them about it but I always show my respects because millions of families have lost loved ones so those people can act like assholes. The National Anthem is a big deal to me and so is honoring those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for 300 million people back home that they don't know.

Bingo... nobody is forcing you to stand , or remove your hat but to bring in a taser was his choice.

Nicely played... although I think this guy is too new to get the reference.

This guy was looking for trouble. I wouldn't be surprised if it was partly a stunt to generate talking points for his son's show. Not to the point where he was supposed to tase somebody, but that they can bash the poor security, with "Anonymous" calling in to the show saying how he was able to sneak in a taser.

As for the not standing during the anthem & talking loudly through Amazing Grace being justified because of religion, that's BS. You don't have to worship the flag. You're just being respectful of the environment you're visiting. If you attend somebody's wedding, most respectable people will rise at the required points in the ceremony, even if they don't practice that religion. They do so not because they are worshiping, but out of respect to the ones that are. If you visit somebody's house for dinner, and their culture dictates removing your shoes, you do it out of respect for them, not because you all of a sudden follow their culture. "When in Rome, do as the Romans do."

Ryan is absolutely NOT at fault here. only the guy with the tazer was arrested. (as It should have been)

you show up at a visiting stadium with a taser you are looking for trouble.

He found it, got arrested. and I imagine there will be lawsuits etc against him
and I see his son condones the using of an illegal taser against people.

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree,

much better to be contrite when your dad does something wrong.

Well except for the one about bringing in weapons into Metlife Stadium.

Guests may not carry-in the following items:

Weapons or anything that can be used as a projectile or is deemed dangerous

I do believe that is called breaking the rules.

No one has a right to lay a finger on you if you don't go along with their beliefs (country or religion). Having said that, if you are mentally unable to recognize the following may not be a good idea by:

    1. go to opposing stadium with other teams jersey on
    2. going to a game in the metro area celebrating the anniversary of the worst attack in that area that claimed 1000's of lives both in the US and a broard (Iraq/Pakistan/Afgan..) and not stand for the anthem
    3. talk during taps/amazing grace
    4. bring a taser because you "think" you'll need protection.

if you're do all this and still go to the game, you get what you deserve.

I never under why people go to stadiums in other teams gear. I've always been under the impression that if you go to an opposing stadium, you always dress "neutral". Going in green always causes more problems than you want to deal with. Sure it's not right, but it's just the way it is and it's not going to change.

To many times a friend of mine goes traveling to other stadiums in green and gets beer/food/ etc tossed on him, cursed at, spit on and on several occasions almost assaulted (luckily he's with friends from home team to help calm the situations). Why the F would you want to deal with that stuff? Support the team? Not at the risk of serious bodily harm. There are always going to be drunks, diehards and young guys looking to do something stupid with mob mentality. Maybe i'm just getting old.

If he truly cared about his religion, there are a lot of things he'd have done differently. Unfortunately, standing isn't one of them. We consider sitting through this to be disrespectful of these men; JW considers standing to be disrespectful of God. It's not the men; it's the flag.

I don't know about loving. Most of the ones I've met are pompous morons who go to Gilead because they're too stupid to do anything else.

This is really what it boils down to. Conscientiously objecting to the anthem doesn't mean being an asshole about it.

I do believe I said this guy was no Jehovah's Witness. I already pointed out the other ways he disregarded his religion.

    Agreed.....

Honestly if you are over 50 and choose to show up and cause a stir, then there's just something seriously wrong with you as a person and you are nothing but a criminal. People should know how to behave and control themselves in the midst of others, you learn this in preschool/Kindergarten and elementary school

Rex Ryan isn't Joseph Stalin or Fidel Castro or Kim Jong Il. He's a football coach. His word should not be taken like its the bible by fans. Rex cannot control what thugs like this guy are going to do, as these type of people have no place in society who bring weapons into a thousand packed area and have no regard for others around them.

Rex ultimately put his organization in a bad spot with the way this world works where people look for any cop out to get away with something wrong or to make easy money but this has nothing to do with Rex Ryan as far as why this fight happened.

They likewise are against war due to the blood shed in it, as they are against any form of blood transfusion and bloodshed to go along with the whole fighting. I can't imagine showing a Witness a UFC fight, in particular BJ Penn vs Joe Stevenson when Penn finished the fight and began to lick his bloody hands based from Stevenson's blood.

I knew someone who is one....very anti-social, seems inclined to only speak with fellow Witnesses, never wanted to get close, would only like to speak to me when it came to Bible talk and when I was curious what Witnesses are all about but besides that never said much else. I feel bad in a way but really at this point, changing their religion and view of life would just be a cultural shock and one that this person probably could not handle.

Aren't Jehovas witnesses the same nuts who show up in groups at your front door looking crazy handing out the Watch Tower and trying to get you into a conversation about the Bible when your trying to get your bookie on the phone to lay your football bets on Sunday morning?

WTF are they doing at a game on Sunday?

That's them. Its apart of their duties as a follower to go and do this.

And yeah I am unsure why they are spending their Sunday at this...I am pretty sure the gruesome sport of football that consists of broken bones, blood and guys fighting is against what they are doing but as IgnatiusJReilly said it best, this guy doesn't follow his religion one bit.
