hey guys. I am very sorry, but I have not been able to keep up with my team this season. I've had a bunch of family illness ussues that have taken away my spare time, along with starting up classes for my MBA. I feel guilty that I havn't paid attention this year. I've always been a pretty strong contendor in the past.
I knocked down the Soviets a peg this week. Heading into the stretch run here 1. The Mighty Ones 141-81-6 .632 - 6-6-0 11 26 2. Mean Machine 123-92-13 .568 14.5 10-2-0 7 10 3. USSR SwinginComrades 124-93-11 .568 14.5 2-10-0 12 19 4. Master Blaster 118-96-14 .548 19 6-6-0 6 8 5. General Santana 114-99-15 .533 22.5 8-4-0 3 15 6. Stan's Caddies 110-101-17 .520 25.5 10-1-1 10 16 7. Cookie Monsters 110-101-17 .520 25.5 8-2-2 2 - 8. Mantana's Mayhem 101-113-14 .474 36 4-4-4 4 11 9. P2C's ballahs 100-115-13 .467 37.5 4-8-0 8 - 10. Pugnacious Polecats 100-119-9 .458 39.5 1-10-1 1 7 11. JS 89-129-10 .412 50 4-4-4 5 7 just about everyone can still make the playoffs.
i would love to get this back together if we are all serious about it and maybe set the lineups for only once a week.
A HUGE no to setting lineups once a week. I'm in a hockey league that does that and it ruins the league. If you happen to be unexpectedly busy one day and can't get to a computer, you basically lose for the week. What's wrong with setting it daily?
That's more of a problem with people not paying attention. Limiting it to once a week would make it worse IMO though. Miss two or three Mondays could cost you 20+ games, and that would likely make people give up pretty quick.
Either replace people who weren't/won't be active, or just deal with it like we have in the past. It's usually hard to get people to be active in fantasy sports other than football because the season is so long. This league is usually pretty good, so I say we just see if last year was an aberration.
...I did what? The league was pretty active, just quiet. We've been booting the scum owners for a couple years now.
