It's quite simple... it's easy to call out the Jets out now because if the fail they can say "I told you so" yet when they start winning they can change their tune. It's a lot easier to say they won't win and flip then jumo off a sinking ship. Fortunately I could care less what people outside of the organization think of Rex. You must be good if people hate you.
Funny, but last time I remember ,talking trash means saying bad things about your opponents. The Jets haven't said one word about any of their opponents. I guess saying "we're the best" is some sort of crime these days. Shit, I never knew people were such pussies.
Hasn't it been common knowledge for decades that bradshaw is as dumb as dog shit? Let him blab, nobody takes him seriously.
as bad as it will get if we don't make the playoffs it'll be just as sweet if we live up to expectations.
Glad I never liked Terry Bradshaw. Are the Jets that different from any other team? Who doesn't set the Super Bowl as their goal? I think too much is made of "all their talking".
I have to say, while I have enjoyed Hard Knocks this year, I almost wish that they were doing it with another team. Rex certainly has written some checks that the players will have to cash and the bank hasn't even opened yet. I do hope that this defense this year is lights out and totally shut down. I say that because it is my small opinion that the offense is not quite ready to step up to the plate yet. Despite all the wonderful talent on that side of the ball, it all runs thru Mark and not sure this will be his year. I just have a gut feeling he still has just a little more growing to do before he is ready to truely lead this team to the big show. An you can be sure that every asshole and there mother in-laws will be out to bash the Jets to no end if they faulter even the slightest bit. So if we even if we go say, 11-5 or 12-4 ,there are many who will scream from the top of the mountains that they knew all along that the Jets just were not that good. So just be ready for it fans because the target is huge on our backs, and we as fans will receiver the backlash as well. Which takes me back to my original point of not being on HK until we actually made it to the show. Rex was the same coach last year that he is this year, only difference is now every team and they fans know it, and will be looking to knock us down a peg or two and then rub our faces in it........
Terry is great. Pretty funny to listen to him getting all mouthy about Ryan being too mouthy. You can't make this stuff up. Good for Terry for speaking his mind though. He is entitled to his opinion. His life has been far from a model of good behavior. between the cheating and the boozing and stupid comments and antics his life has been like a good ol country honky tonk song. But he was one helluva a QB. I am not sure what is that gets some people all worked up. The goal is to win the super bowl and we think the Jets have a good shot at reaching the goal. I believe in my team and I'm proud to say so. If Terry has a problem with people being confident and believing that they can be the best - then he is kind of nuts. Which of course he is....
Bradshaw should STFU. The guy couldn't be anymore annoying on that lousy FOX NFL show BS. I usually watch ESPN before games but for filler I'll throw some FOX on and Bradshaw is a tool of massive proportions.
Yes...trading away your 2 best players because they aren't team players is certainly not a bellichickk move. Only a "Bellichick coach" would have traded Cutler and Marshall
If it makes anybody feel happy, then I'll write McDaniels is practically a Belichick clone. He might be Bill's illegitimate son.
If he loses it will not be the analysts that run him out of town, it will be the demented Jets fans. This board is a can't miss for pure entertainment this season. If the Jet's play well and win the bravado will be mind numbing and if they lose the threads calling for him to be canned will be humorous. Sexy Rexy has a chance to have a bigger fall from grace than Mangina. Either way, can't wait.
I love it. I love how some of the media, fans, players, coaches and teams are starting to hate Rex Ryan and the Jets. We must be doing something right.
Why dont we post a thread when someone praises Rex instead? Nobody is going to give the jets respect until they have no other option. (championship) when and if that happens. I personally think it will. Thats my completely unbiased opinion.
Terry Bradshaw takes shot at Rex Ryan http://www.footballnewsnow.com/2010/terry-bradshaw-on-rex-ryan-i-dont-like-guys-like-that-ok/ Pittsburgh Steelers Hall of Fame quarterback Terry Bradshaw, known for his carefree and gregarious attitude, had some harsh words for Jets coach Rex Ryan and his high-profile antics. When speaking with KTBS TV, Bradshaw said he looks as Ryan’s overspilling boastfulness as a cowardly move. “He doesn’t even play, so it’s easy for him to shoot his mouth off,” Bradshaw said according to ESPNNewYork.com. “He doesn’t make a tackle. He doesn’t run a ball. He doesn’t make a catch or throw a ball. He just sits over there. Unfortunately, I don’t think his players are quite as strong-minded as he is.” The 4-time Super Bowl champion hasn’t been the only one to criticize Ryan’s unique coaching style this offseason. Tony Dungy called out the second-year coach after watching him excessively use profanity during a team meeting in an episode of HBO’s Hard Knocks. Earlier this week, Dallas great Darren Woodson said he believes the Jets D owes most of their to success to Darelle Revis, and will be “half the team defense” without him. Bradshaw, who is currently an analyst on FOX NFL Sunday, added that he’s underwhelmed with QB Mark Sanchez’s skill set and that Ryan’s coaching style will only stump the young QB’s development. “He’s putting a lot of pressure on his young quarterback,” Bradshaw said of Ryan. “If they can’t run the ball, they’re going to have to throw it, and they can’t pass protect. Bradshaw concluded by predicting the Jets would struggle in 2010 and that Ryan would “shut up real quick”. ” You know what? I don’t like guys like that, OK?” he added. Bradshaw played 13 seasons with the Steelers and ended his career being named Super Bowl MVP twice (1979, 1980), NFL MVP (1978), making 2 All-Pro teams (1978, 1979), and 3 Pro Bowls (1975, 1978, 1979).
