Sanchez looks like an improved version of the Sanchez from the first three games last year, right down to the 4 possible Int's the opponents have dropped or bobbled away so far. He's a much better QB when the Jets open up the whole field and he takes some risks. We're definitely going to have a game or two in here where he makes us pull our hair out though.
Coupled with the fact that Miami clearly planned out their first three weeks, with this game in mind. They didn't throw jack $#!t for the first two weeks, and then decided to go Air Coryell. In Buffalo, they attempted maybe FOUR deep passes (though put it up 34 times) everything else was short passing.
What's amazing to me is the difference in the playbook from last year to this year for Sanchez and Schotty. Its almost as if Schotts, after the first game, finally realized that this team isn't the 2000 Ravens and will have to have a functioning, balanced game plan that actually involve scoring more than FG's to win in the AFCE. Sanchez2.0 is definetly an improvement over v1.0 and alot of that is because of the open offense game planning. What's also amazing is all the haters out there still bitching and moaning about us not benching Edwards and actually winning this game.
I don't doubt it, because its the nature of the game. He'll have a 2 INT game. Maybe a 3 INT game. Its going to happen. We just can't sit on our computers and think he's going to regress back to the middle of last year.
Also funny in Dolfag land is that, a lot of dolfag fans are questioning why Vontae Davis wasn't on Braylon Edwards. Can they be this stupid? There's a reason they didn't hear much about Cotchery all night - and I, as an opposing head coach, would take out Cotchery over Braylon any day of the week. Braylon, with all the ballyhoo, is still good for one big play and then some. Cotchery? If you let him have his way, he will be Sanchez's bread and butter. No, he won't be breaking out big plays, but he WILL keep the ball moving at almost all times. I cannot question Sparano's decision on that - I think he was right with the call. P.S. Hell, why is THIS post in THIS thread? I don't know. I thought I was on other thread -_-;;
Yes, Cotchery is like an improved version of Wayne Chrebet. If you cover him with your best corner you can take him out of the game but if you don't he'll make enough catches to put you in a bad way. The big difference between him and Chrebet is he's better after the catch because he has the size and moves to break tackles routinely.
