You know who else is done? The Cowboys. They're down 13 - 0 to the Texans late in the first half. They might as well not bother to play this season. Just forfeit 16 and go for that draft position.

Rex looked lifeless at the end of the game.....the Sanchez issue has got to be the biggest thing on his mind,,,,RED ZONE pick was complete bullshit..his forcing the ball to double covered guys.......EVERYTHING the offseason was about for Sanchez ,,and same ol shit already.....Brunell performance was pathetic...K. Clemens must be laughing his ass off on the inside

I stand corrected. Watching the game left me with the impression it wasn't near this good, and I forgot to record the game, so I bow to the stats that say I'm wrong.

I did see Haynseworth getting blown up not only by Mangold, but whoever was blocking him.

It's going to be a very difficult season for a lot of fans here, I think. History suggests that Mark Sanchez is going to perform worse in his second year than he did in his first.

If he doesn't, if he performs well and manages to hold his pick count to 16 (one per game), he's still going to be run out of town on a rail.

The Redskins are a solid defense. Mark Sanchez made a poor read and threw an off-target pass to a very good cornerback. Why did that happen? Because Deangelo Hall disguised his coverage. He appeared to be in man-to-man when he was really in a zone. He baited a second year quarterback. That's what good corners do.

The reason rational folk are saying "it's just preseason" isn't because the games don't count; it's because you barely gameplan for them. If we had, I'm sure Sanchez would have got a heads up: "Hey Mark, remember: they usually switch to zone in the redzone." That sort of thing.

I agree. The problem is, some people seem to be expecting a SB run. I want to win the division this season and be competitive in the playoffs, but I sure as hell don't think it's a certainty. We've got one guy on here who is panicking and selling off all his season tickets. From a PRESEASON game!

Like I said, the passing game has been a concern. Not a panic, a concern. I wouldn't even say it's a worry at this point. I'll start to worry when we open up poorly. Until then, I'll remind everyone that the Texans are about to go up 27 - 0 on the Cowboys...with the starters still in the game. Preseason.

As far as the Sanchez pick, though, that wasn't even on Hall. That really was horseshit. Rewatched it today and Sanchez looked like he knew where he was going with the ball the whole time. He didn't really checkdown. He stared down one receiver, then turned, immediately ready to throw. He didn't even check position on Hall before he made that throw.

Gentleman, its a long season. Remember, its not how you play at the beginning of the season, but at the end. Our team may very well start out slowly, but sometime during this season the game will slow significantly for Sanchez, and from that point on the offense will pick up. As TBird pointed out, its cause for concern at this point, but not panic. It'll come. Lets just hope it comes sooner rather than later.

I believe it will be weeks before the line fully gels in terms of Slauson at guard. They still seem to be a bit off. Sanchez still seems to struggle a bit but I hope you are right on him as well.

The running game is showing flashes, and everyone forgets it took several weeks last year to get the running game up and on it's feet.

Brunell is on board as a mentor, if we ever have to depend on his playing ability, we're probably up the creek. I guess the reason he's on the roster is that Brees had shining things to say about him in a mentor role to Schotty during their weekly phone calls and Schotty had to have him.

Yea.. these games really do make you wonder.. what the hell sanchez has been so studying so hard that he gets all this praise for. Granted it IS preseason and offense is very vanilla.. but the offense doesn't dictate all the horrible reads. Yea, it isn't time to panic but there is a lot of cause for concern. Guess we'll be seeing lots of Greene and LT in the regular season.

22 pts a game including D and STs TDs, points scored by the O we averaged 20 so 21 would be an improvment and I assume our D will not choke as much as it did last year. We are going to average more than 21 PPG this year but if we did average just 21 we'd win 11-12 games assuming the D takes that next step.

The point was as bad as we have been on O we have have shown more than a year ago so far and this O is going to be alot better than it has shown throughout the preseason.
