I'd be shocked if we traded for a corner, we already used a first round draft choice and a 2011 2nd or 3rd (if I remember correctly the terms of the trade its probably gonna be a 2nd) round to improve that position. Can't imagine giving up any more assets, we'll stick with what we have and hope that Revis finds his way back onto the team. Our CB goes from 'probably good enough' to best in the league if Revis comes back
I'm glad you have come to the realization that the Jets are superior to all other teams in the league and the only way to stop us is hope we implode. Now that you know that you that you can save yourself the trouble of polluting our threads with your worthless drivel.
ConcordeChops (nice avatar btw), Folk: he missed it just wide right. It didn't fade or drift. His alignment/approach from the right hash might've been off because the kick started out right but went straight as an arrow from there--ball rotation looked clean on slo-mo. Folk's previous 36 yd FG from the left hash was the one that looked shaky--barely slid that one inside the right upright. Overall, Folk's kickoffs were good with a tad more 'hang' than L. Tines as the Jet cover guys were a good 3-4 yards deeper than Jint covers at first contact. On the return side, Jets blocking nearly set up two KO's for big gainers. (btw, Folk looked good in warmups). Green: delivering blows, some nice yards after contact (ask S Deon Grant). LT: the tank didn't look empty. Slauson: noticed one brutal, slow-footed whiff on pass protection in the red zone. Brandon Jacobs: ran his mouth better than he ran the ball. 1 half=2 yds, averages out to 4 yds/game or a bang up 64 yard season. Put a sock in it pinhead, mr. non-factor. Holmes: serious skill set; so polished for someone his age. Drives hard, fakes hard; very impressive, well-coached talent. Bearded Braylon: nice off-the-ground snatch. Nice trio w/ the solid Jo-Co Lastly, number 30 in your Jet program: "GREEN LANTERN" -Always getting lit up- ...and then there's that little shit Woodhead catching crossing/swing patterns underneath and running away from LB's....will someone please plant that lil' gnat once and for all and end this experiment-lol (or am I wrong about him).
Thanks for the review. Good job. From my upper deck seats i was kinda lost following things. I wonder if Sorgi-to-Cruz will be as heralded in the Giants-world as Ratliffe-to-Clowney was here. Hey, those performances have at least enabled Clowney to still be here ; )
^you got me. I just fixed it. Although the way he aproaches takles, maybe he would prefer "in" his ass.
There's no denying that the Jets first teamers looked very, very sharp. I didn't see a lot of sloppy penalties that normally come in the first preseason game (false starts, illegal shifts, delay of game, etc.) which suggests that the coaching staff has been running very good practices. Additionally, you have to be very happy with Sanchez's performance. His first pass was unbelievably stupid, but he responded beautifully and that's all you can ask for. Young QBs will force bad passes from time to time, but as long as he can limit those mistakes and bounce back we're gonna be in good shape.
Haha.. NFL Network didn't even show highlights of the game after Eli got crushed. They only showed the final score as if to say, "Nothing else that happened after the Eli play mattered"
I can distinctly remember O'Hara playing, because one of the Giants players got hurt, and I saw O'hara with his jersey/neckguard/etc pat him on the shoulder pads before the guy was carted off.
I noticed that Folk's 46 yard FG attempt hooked left after it had passed the uprights, It had the distance to go 55 yards, but i think if he was kicking from 50-53, it would have made it inside the upright.
Great leg, a little right. I have plenty of confidence in Folk, until proven otherwise. In the Indy game that 50 yarder would have been an ok decision with Folk. Not discounting Feely, the guy was big for us last year. Folk has higher upside.
I don't remember if he mentioned it there but he certainly said exactly that last night on SNY before the game.
Or why every highlight film commentary fails to mention it was a blatant non-call. Even the Monday night crew glossed over it, but one of them did say something like, "well, it was a penalty, but what a catch!" I'm sure the Jets have already sent film to the NFL officials on it. Like I said, good thing it was preseason. If that was a regular season game, there would have been a huge uproar.
^i don't think anyone has said this yet, but Lowery had good coverage on that play. And he would gave broken that up had it not been for the headlock.
I'm sorry but after watching that game a second time with slo mo..I'm starting to go into Conspiracy Theory mode. Go back and watch that shovel pass to Bradshaw... 2 officials in the backfield, and NO HOLDING CALL Which was not long after Gruden pointed out (after a call against the home team) that with two guys back there, the OL is going to be under greater scrutiny...
Agreed....Can someone tell me how Drew Coleman can suck so bad and still be on an active roster? He makes Otis f*ng Smith look like Lester Hayes
