It's freaking weird. He is also all kinds of shady if you read about his business dealings. I'm thinking she did it just to protect assets (in trusts) although they lived together for quite some time. What was even more bizarre is that at first the Feds couldn't confirm or deny that the marriage ever took place at all. He didn't show one hair on his ass during the trial (not surprising) and is supposedly shacked up with a new gf. I still want to know how she had $1,000,000 cash at her disposal to buy her hideout. How the HELL does that fly under the radar? My guess is that it was from one of the trust accounts the husband set up and was in control of. There's a lot we'll never know.
So will there be retrial , jurors were never asked or omitted saying they were sexually abused. What a balls up
Well apparently everyone else in the US elite has had something to do with Ghislane Maxwell so who knows (allegedly).
I read an interesting article that I can't find now (damn it). It looks like she'll almost certainly get a new trial. Two of the jurors did not reveal on their questionnaire that they had a history of sexual abuse as @Satan mentioned. Good analysis by some legal expert big shot who is the head of some legal something something organization (whose name I can't recall but it was Indian) said this is a prosecutor's nightmare. One of his opinions was that some jurors lie because they want revenge for something they personally suffered and others lie because a case is notorious. Couldn't agree more, I've always felt that way, and we all know that this is true. One of the jurors has retained their own attorney and refused a court-appointed one, not sure about the other one; but the big mouth that talked to three different media outlets could be in deep shit for perjury.
Unfortunately, it sounds like there will be a new trial. I feel terrible that the victims have to deal with this shit again.
What perjury? We should definitely expect her defense team to try to dredge up things but Is there any claim that they were asked about past abuse and lied? Was the questionnaire worded to leave no doubt about specifics rather than just a personal judgement? Is the information that the two jurors had been abused reliable and I really wonder where it came from; it doesn't seem reasonable that two people who may have perjured themselves would be so quick to blow the whistle on themselves.
The other thing is that the questionnaire is approved by both the prosecution and the defense. Any objections to the wording or content there would have had to be raised at the time it was circulated, before it was presented to potential jurors. I doubt this will result in a new trial, on this issue at least. Now if one or more of the jurors actually answered incorrectly when presented with the questionnaire, well that is grounds for an appeal at least. Juror misconduct could easily get the verdict overturned and a new trial.
The number of people with sexual abuse in their past is actually quite high. To find jurors without any trauma like that is asking too much. Long story short- sorry bitch, guilty is guilty!
TGG has a unique ability to turn any topic in Biden/Trump fight. Unfuckingbelievable. Locking this down.
