Its really hilarious that Glenn's fear of fumbles has scared him from Pritchard and then the other guys he used fumble 2 KO's in 4 games. Thats a loser strategy coming back to roost. The fear itself caused the feared outcome to occur.

Aaron Glenn may have a shorter time frame than Adam gase here, he doesn’t have a clue about having a clue. But they atleast he never has to worry about money again thanks to woody.

Yeah honestly he deserves the full year, and maybe even deserves a second year, but if we keep playing this brand of disgusting undisciplined football with all the turnovers and dumb penalties, I would not be opposed to a One and Done scenario…we better be playing much better than we have been so far otherwise I’d be all in favor of cutting the cord sooner rather than later

This team is just flat out disgusting to watch right now

You’re arguing the coach can’t be responsible for penalties or turnovers, but somehow they are for tackling? Using your own words, these are grown men. Fact of the matter the coaches are responsible for all of that.

I really don't get it. He had a great camp and Glenn picked Gipson. Gipson fucked up. He then picked slow Williams. Williams fucked up. Why not give a shot to the guy who actually won the starting job in camp with his performance?

At least Gipson when he didn't fumble was able to make a decent return. Williams seems to suck everywhere.

    I was on a soapbox rant...sue me. :D

Look, the coaches can't PLAY the game for them. Penalties and turnovers are on the players 100%.

However, tackling. That is as fundamental as running in a straight line. I'll give you over pursuing and not staying in their lane as a direct reflection on coaching but fucking tackling falls right on the player. They either do it PROPERLY or they don't and no one can tell me these players haven't been taught how to tackle. Seeing as they've been playing the damn game their whole lives.

I understand what you’re saying, but to your point 50% of this roster won’t be here next year. Now is the time to enforce consequences and set the tone for what is unacceptable. Cutting Gipson was a start, and probably even too far, but guys like Clemens need to be taken off the field for significant time for repeated boneheaded shit. Braelon Allen should have been off the field. Enough is enough. I don’t care if we have to elevate PS squad guys or sign guys off the street, sooner or later you have to deactivate a guy and start making it clear if you make stupid penalties, you miss tackles, you turnover the ball, you’re on the bench. Period. This shit is sloppy, and sloppiness falls on the coach. The guy talks about “our brand of football”. Exactly wtf is our brand of football? I’m not saying fire him, I’m saying I already see alot of red flags that have me real concerned.

There are plenty of red flags…the first one to me of course was that we hired a rookie DC. But in terms of what we’ve been seeing so far, yes, I’m concerned…AG talks a good amount about discipline, accountability, playing sound football, but for whatever reason, it isn’t translating to the field. Sure that’s on players. But something has to be done…something has to change because we’ve now seen 4 games of this putrid play…a quarter of the season now done, and there is no sign of any improvement. None at all. And our next two games are going to be two more losses….Dallas’ offense will put up points on our putrid D, and Denvers defense will stifle our putrid O. I see no way we win either of those games.

So what can AG do? You can’t cut everybody. Sure Clemons sucks and is not a starter, but until JJ comes back, the guys behind him are probably worse. So he has to play. Our safeties suck and there I do think we should start playing the rookie more and see what he can do. Same for Stephens…not saying cut these guys, and you don’t even have to bench them for a whole game, but at some point you gotta give the kids some reps. Same at the receiver position. Lazard gave us his weekly penalty again last night. Time to let Smith play and see if he can play.

    Something has to change

Something that would grab the team by the throat too. I would say... Move Tanner up to the booth, start taking more control of the defense from Wilks, promote Pritchard and cut the new fumbler. That should be enough to get their attention and at the same time, go along way towards reinforcing the accountability mantra.

Very concerning to say the least. Gase/Kotite territory at this point. The worry with AG was that he wasn't even an accomplished DC, only 1 good year out of 4, then imploded in the play-offs. Detroit won mostly with the offense. It's hard to see him closing such massive gap, even though it is early. Not even sure what personnel changes he can do. The team is what it is. Maybe Brownlee instead of Carter, Pritchett as a returner. Stephens actually had a decent game last time, but AZ could be in the wings. Branch for Adams. Hopefully these changes will help some, but coaching appears to be the biggest issue overall, and really bad on defense.
