AS bad as Herm is, he made the playoffs with his first two teams. Wonder how many coaches can claim that if any. But he still sucks big time.
Herm can win some games with his teams, but I don't think he has what it takes to bring his team to win a Super Bowl... I definately think Mangini does though.
I really wanted Ron Rivera or Mike Sherman, and when they both seemed impossible I didn't mind the idea of a Belicheck guy. Maybe not the best option, but they've worked out in the past, right? And he wound up being the best guy by far, and the only HC in the whole league that has even gotten close to his performance is Sean Payton.
Ron Rivera and Rob Ryan are the next two best coaching prospects. Al Davis will prove himself a senile jackass if he doesn't keep and promote Ryan for him own team.
Rivera is a great candidate. Did we interview him last year? I think we didnt, but so far we made a good decsision. Mangini actually can manage the clock. Now I bitch about other stuff. about Al Davis as long as he lives they will stink. So stay alive baby!!! now its officail that the Cards, Falcons, and Dolphins need a coach. Queerlers and Giants could be next and word on Gibbs? and who knows what Parcells will do? He likes quitting at wrong times. I think Crenell should stay since he hasnt had 3 years yet.(That team was a mess and still is but he had a ton of injuries) Dungy what will he do? I think he will stay What if Schott lost in 1st rnd.(I know he and the GM but heads). Maybe the Jets will take care of that. BUT we are all thinking PATS. any other jobs that can open up?
I totally agree. I was petrified of them hiring a retread and ruining this team for another 3-5 years.
