Mark is like having a case of explosive diarrhea. Geno is like having a horrible case of constipation. You may prefer one over the other, but both are horrible and nobody should want either going forward.
Would have been nice to use that 2nd round pick on the top receiver or tight end available and address the QB spot in 2014. They just seemed so hell bent on forcing Geno on the jets.
So who is really to blame; Rex Iz or Woody? I wish we could get rid of all three! Hate to say, but I think Badway was a better GM than what we have now.
You have to think Iz is now trying to force Geno because of how screwed up the Sanchez situation became and because he doesn't want 2 of his first 3 picks to be lousy. To be honest who was taking geno in the second round if the Jets didn't? How far would he have slipped? They should have gone skill player in 2013, left Sanchez behind center, and went QB in 2014. Everyone knew 2014 was going to be a QB heavy draft. Now they are stuck with sticking with Geno, going all skill hoping Geno can learn, drafting a QB which creates more of a circus in camp, or signing a veteran - but who the hell is out there? The best option is going to be cutting Sanchez and trying to resign him because he is better than any veteran backup option out there.
he had 7 INts in 2 games, in 3 of the games he had 1 or fewer INTs(w/ MUCH worse talent and Sparano). mark has NEVER had a stretch like Geno has had.
Problem is Sanchez cost us way more since we trade up for him and gived him sick contracts. I agree that Geno is being worst then sanchez ever was but the investment was small i just hope the organization dont give him as many chances as they give to Sanchez.
Oh, well then, when you put it like that... Relax guys; it was Sanchez's 7 INTs in 2 games that made him look worse than he really was. Bahaha
Bradway never drafted a quarterback expected to start so he cannot be judged at this level. And we should never forget many of his draft picks and wonderful free agent signings.
I know, I know. It is simply my belief that Mark will never get back to the mediocre level of play he displayed in 2009-2010. I don't see Geno getting there either.
He was much better than mediocre in 2010, there weren't 10 better QBs in 2010. yes he stunk last year but that was 1 bad year in 4 years w/ the worst circumstances any QB has faced in this league in a long time.
Yeah, did people really want Ratliff, Elam, etc? Like seriously we didn't give up a king's ransom for him. It was actually almost a steal for that draft choice.
