Believe me, I've thought about it Mr. Woodridge, NJ. If the Jets go back to the mid 90's again, which is about a coinflip at this point, I might. The problem of course is the big fat zero I've gotten out of being a Jet's fan since 1970. I dropped the Rangers like a hot potato after they finally won the Stanley Cup in 1994. That's what I'd watched them for all those years and I was really happy to call it even and get out when they finally won it all.
WTF does where I live have anything to do with your desire to bail on the team? I don't know what your point is about bailing on the Rangers AFTER they won it all... what? you got your championship and now you're out? THAT makes sense
Just pointing out that the Jets moved to you. As a long-term Jets fan I've made my accomodation with the fact that they are no longer a New York team in anything but name, however I never rooted for the New Jersey Devils, despite their successes, and if there was a real New York city NFL team I probably wouldn't root for the Jets either. That's just location.
First off if the Mets didn't treat the Jets like second class citizens they never would have left Shea. Like not letting the Jets use their home field until after baseball season... Second, they didn't come to me. You act like New Jersey stole them from you, like it was personal... Third, the stadium is literally 3 miles outside of NYC... who gives a shit if it's Jersey... It's not like they play down in Cape May... Lastly... I remember when there was a back page story about the Jets moving to LA... and I wondered what I'd do... and deep down I knew they'd still be my team as long as they were wearing green and white
Well that's commendable. If the Jets moved to LA I'd be an ex-fan before their asses hit the plane seats. The facts are that the Jets have had lousy management, with a few exceptions now and then, for 30+ years and that's why they are Jersey B. At least the Giants thought up the idea and actually did the heavy lifting in getting the Meadowlands built. From a business standpoint the Jets have just been a horribly weak little sister of a franchise since Sonny Werblin left the scene. Those results have also been reflected in their record over that timespan and their inability to even get to a Super Bowl while the Giants have been to 4. When I stop being a Jet's fan it'll be because they became unrecognizable to me and no longer are the heirs to Joe Willie's legend. They have moved further and further down that path with each fork in the road and I have no doubt that at some point they'll just wind up looking like foreigners to me and losers to boot. It's just a matter of time.
Your uncles are pussies and so are you. Change teams because of names!!!. You get in late and leave early girly man
