Agreed! I doubt that will happen though. If that was the plan, why not just stick with Mangini for at least one more year? Again, he had 2 of 3 winning years as a new coach in a harsh media market. How long does the next rookie head coach get then, three years as well? I'm not happy with that level of commitment to a program, an obvious exception being something ridiculous like 3 years and 5 total wins. How can players grow and thrive with this kind of systemic turnover every few years?

Since everytime Clayton makes a report his job is on the line so maybe from the BC side he got that info. Any case since he aired it he had to have some access to some info to put it on the airwaves
clayton is far from a reliable source, his job isn't on the line with every report or he would be gone by now. if your gonna throw a reporters rumor around as gospel make sure its schefter, he is never wrong.
Well to many incorrect reports will surely get U axed at ESPN & this airing being such big news if not true will lead to Clayton being canned by ESPN
this isn't that big a deal champ, he is reporting that cowher wants a new gm, and if they manage to work something out clayton could just say it was a difficult issue to hammer out, but they got it done in the 13th hour or some crap. it still doesn't make his report correct, it makes it a rumor.
Well if not true I would hope Woody comes out to disclaim it then Clayton would have to bring out his info to prove Woody incorrect. BTW it is now be aired on the fan so usually where there is smoke there is fire right?
its not that big a deal no one would come out forcing the reporter for proof of the negotiations. but it doesn't look like it matters as the story is getting a little more too it on espn now. looks like clayton actually had a good source this time.
Well if it comes down to Woody word vs Clayton it sure does & Clayton bosses will ask him for it as well
