Or he gets taken first overall after Miami trades the pick to some team that wants (needs?) McFadden bad enough anyway. You don't know what will happen in the draft itself so it's pointless to say how much better, worse or indifferent it is that we're three spots lower in the draft.

Oh boy, the complaints keep coming, win or lose. It is getting old.

does the indy-titans game have any implications on us possibly moving to 5....i was just told that we could still move up...who has to win?

Jets are 6th. The Indy-Titan game has no implications at all for us.

I know. Peterson fell surprisingly low in the draft. You just never know what is going to happen. I think we land a very good player in the #6 spot. Plus, I think we have 2 second round picks this year, too. There will be very good talent floating around in the second round. You can be sure of it.

There aren't too many teams with the ammo to trade up without hurting themselves. Trading up for the #1 spot would probably take a 1st and a 3rd round pick this year plus the 1st round pick in the '09 draft - that's just too pricey a gamble on one player.

At least this will kill all the McFadden nonsense I've been hearing about.

Nope. It'll just start the "Here's how we could trade-up for McFadden" threads.

On one hand, it kind of sucks that the JEts win the last, meaningless game of the season, and drop several slots in the draft...

On the other hand? The current Jets have SO MANY needs (OL, DL, QB, RB, TE, etc.) that it doesn't really matter...

What matters is that it is within the realm of possibility that Tangini are not the fix the Jets needed. We'll find out next year. Another year of misery like this and I won't be the only poster caling for their ouster. If they can get this team back in the playoffs? Well... Didja see next year's schedule yet?

The Jets better revamp their roster ASAP.

Who cares...besides McFadden who blows anyone away right now?

Hell, even last years crappy draft had Russell, Johnson, Peterson, and Thomas.

This drafts top 5 (let alone top 10) isn't even close to clear right now.

These threads are so stupid.... this defense played very good following the Dallas debacle and people are complaining about us beating the Chiefs when it's proven just in the last 2 years that can't miss running backs can miss.

Be glad you aren't the Chiefs who quit in October and they still have to deal with Herm coming back next year. Or the Ravens who quit after losing to the Pats and giving Miami a W. Or Atlanta whom it seems there is no hope for.

I'm much more proud that my team showed heart the entire 16 games and played their asses off even when it was apparent this was a lost season. I'm also satisfied that TJ and Leon both had productive seasons running behind garbage like Brandon Moore and Adrien Clarke.

I also agree that it was costly. McFadden is going to make us cry.
