    ya clearly i was serious. i actually think ortiz is a lot faster than people give him credit for. ortiz kills lowell in a serious footrace with hustle.

    I agree. I would rest him twice a week or so and bat him 6th or 7th when he plays.

    Well, with some of the things you've said...

    I think he should PLAY twice a week. Once Youkilis' suspension is over, the base lineup needs to be:

    Ellsbury- CF
    Pedroia- 2B
    Martinez- 1B
    Youkilis- 3B
    Bay- LF
    Lowell- DH
    Drew- RF
    Varitek- C
    Green- SS

    A couple times a week put Ortiz at DH and have Martinez catch. There is zero reason to have Ortiz in there over Lowell on a daily basis at this point.

    I'd put Lowell at 3rd, Youkilis at 1st, Martinez Catching, Ortiz DHing, and the Captain watching.
