Well, I think you need to have Tomlinson, Larry Johnson, James and Alexander up there. Barber, Portis, McAllister, and probably Priest Holmes, if fit, are definitely in. Then it's borderline players like Warrick Dunn, Brian Westbrook, Thomas Jones, Jamal Lewis (despite an awful year there), Rudi Johnson, with the likes of LaMont Jordan, Dominick Davis, Cadillac Williams, Willie Parker, Julius Jones and Willis McGahee in a seperate group. Then there's the old and broken RBs like Fred Taylor, Corey Dillon, Curtis Martin, possibly moving Holmes here.

As for Reuben Droughns, Mike Anderson, Ronnie Brown, Ricky Williams, Kevan Barlow, Ahman Green, Kevin Jones, who knows? Any one of them could produce 1200 yards, or 500.

    This is a hard question.

Who's Fred Jones? The only "Jones" in the NFL that are RBs are:

    Jones, Darnell RB, Cincinnati Bengals
    Jones, Greg RB, Jacksonville Jaguars
    Jones, Julius RB, Dallas Cowboys
    Jones, Kevin RB, Detroit Lions
    Jones, Thomas RB, Chicago Bears

Do you mean Fred Taylor? That I would understand.

it's so easy to forget about him and really how good he is because of his injury problems

I actually really like him. I was going to put him in my top 10, but with his health and such, I don't think I could've justitified it.

    I wouldn't put 7-10 in the top 15 personally...actually i dont think 9 or 10 should make top 20 even...

LT should be in the lower half of the top 10, his avg. sucks, and because the chargers sucked for awhile, it forced him to get more attention that he deserves...

Larry Johnson should be #1 no questions asked...him and Alexander

I don't agree but I understand how you feel. When you look at the guys 7-10 you don't automatically think "OH! Top ten talent!" But when you look at all the other RBs in the NFL, they are better.

Watch what I mean, Make a list will ya?
Name 15 backs better than Rudi?
Name 20 better than Dunn or Cadillac?

so.... Larry Johnson has one good yr and hes instantly better than LT? let alone "#1 no questions asked" ? Furthermore, the Chargers have played as well as the Chiefs the last few yrs, so I dont see how SD's success (or lack their of) makes any argument that LT isnt as good as Johnson or Alexander

If anything they should be behind LT especially considering Johnson/Alexander play behind two of the best OL's in the league.

i dont blame u tho cuz they are two names that stood out this yr above most any other Back in the game. I would just say Alexander top 3, and Johnson top 10 (only because we have to see consistency from him)

ill make my own list later though and u guys can butcher it all u want.

^ Agree on LJ. IMO, he'll be the #1 back next season. I do believe he's going to tear it up. But, IMO, there is more to being top 3 than yards. Being a work horse, carring the load AND your team, and doing it year in and year out. All 3 LJ has yet to prove. He'll get his shot in the up comming years.

I meant, before the Chargers started being great...

LT has never been a 1,700 yard back and in 1 season LJ proved he can easily top 2000... plus I'm doing mine based on right now, how would they do...not on the past.

Told ya. BTW, I totally disagree with your list. LMAO

I've made my case against LJ above^. I also think LT at #5 is way too low. Doubt many if any others will agree. Parker is, IMO, not top 10 for the same reasons LJ isn't #1. And Bell... i just don't know.

O, and a work hourse like Edge at 8 is insulting.

I'm not sold on Parker or Bell either, but there isn't much competition at RB in the NFL right now...

maybe Edge is 1 or 2 spots too low...but he's a little overrated...

LT at 5 is about right.

Yeah, IMO Taylor would be an top three back minus injuries.

BUt Dunn is nice and so is Mcgahee, but no way they are top ten.Dillion and Fred even with their injuries have done more then them.

so you dont think the texans should take bush i'm guessing?
