No justification. Just an insight into reality as opposed to the hysterical distortion of the truth that keeps happening in this thread.

    “Administrative warrants”

Could you have imagined the day you would be making excuses for a poorly oversighted federal Gestapo gaining power over the constitutional rights of Americans?

    And you call it “hysterical”

In all honesty, can you tell me what ice is doing , that is worth this risk to our rights ? What is it that they are accomplishing, that make it worth it to defend. I’m honestly just curious. I stuck up for the trump administration in the first term, but there is no way I would support this shit. Because they will run out of immigrants, and they aren’t filling that agency for the short haul.

I wasn’t defending anything. I was correcting the statement that they don’t need “warrants.”

These also aren’t Americans. They are illegally in the country. So your first question can’t be answered. Which American’s rights are being violated?

What is ICE doing? They’re removing as many of the 20+ million illegal immigrants that came in under the last 4 years of the previous administration. This was campaigned heavily on. The majority of the country voted for it.

The last sentence is hysterical. What do you anticipate is “next?” They’re going to bust down your door because you retweeted a Gavin Newsom’s tweet? A lot of the hiring is based on contract so yeah those run out.

And again, there’s 20+ million people illegally in the country. 70% or whatever the number I posted a couple pages back, that have been removed, are criminal offenders. You think there’s a shortage of people to remove?

You gave up your rights 25 years ago when George Bush, with the help of the other two branches, signed the Patriot Act into law. It’s been repeatedly renewed by each side of the aisle in the US. It was cheered in 2001. “I have nothing to hide.” I’m sure you cheered it. My folks definitely did.

But really, I want to know. What do you thing is next? You can’t accept at face value that this operation is designed to remove illegal immigrants no one wanted here or voted for in the first place?

Incorrect to say they "aren't Americans."

Whatever you feel about the civil rights of undocumented citizens, at the point that ICE is raiding homes, vehicles, and workplaces without judicial warrants, the citizenship of the owners is not yet proven. So they very well could be the violating the rights of American citizens

What? Warrants, whether judicial or administrative generally have last known residence. The warrants would be valid if an illegal immigrant is housed in one of the places it’s being executed at.

The government knows when you run a traffic light and what you’re watching on TV. You think they’re just wildly getting wrong the residence of illegal immigrants (especially those with a documented criminal history)?

Yes, feel secure knowing that the government can spy on you in your home so if you're not doing anything wrong you "have nothing to worry about" and all that.

I don’t feel secure about that at all. The Patriot Act should’ve never been signed and should’ve been killed every single time it was up for renewal.

So don’t conflate what I said.

What I said was, because of those unjust capabilities, I don’t think they are getting the locations of the vast majority of illegal immigrants wrong.

    I’m sorry , I can’t answer this thoroughly as I’m at work ….

But yes , what’s next is what I fear. But I’m sure you would have found the idea of federal Gestapo on the ground hysterical 5 years ago.

I don’t trust the numbers, or who puts them out there. And they’ve also detained many citizens wrongly based on their skin

Since it's something being done with no transparency, I don't know why you would give credence to the execution of such a program. The government employs just as many idiots as McDonald's.
