Maddox has had a quiet camp as far as I can tell. As I said earlier, there isn't much to say about linemen when they are in shells.
I went to TC in the evening, pretty uneventful. I left half an hour before it was over, and it was ALL drills. No 11 on 11 play at all. I really don't have much more to add to what T-bird said. There wasn't much physical play. I couldn't even figure out the players with those other Bucs numbers being used. For some odd reason, they went back and forth between fields, and I couldn't get a great view behind rows up people along the fence. This is the first time I've seen them use both fields to such great extent. To make up for the lack of news, here are some photos I took: http://community.webshots.com/user/theatrain22 Enjoy!
I wonder if this is the reason why we heard some stuff about Rhodes lining up some at corner. He has the size that Miller, Dyson, Strait and Mickens don't have and there's no denying his athleticism. I could see them planning to use Rhodes against certain big wide receivers.
Very Nice stuff. TBJ did you notice what formations they tended to use more often. We have no clue what there base offense and it would be nice to know what we will run this season.
Hard to tell at this point. My take is that the first week+ of camp was to get them into football shape and to begin to formulate the depth chart. I also think they have been evaluating the talent and getting a better handle on the player's (and the team's) strengths and weaknesses.... now it looks like they are installing the rest of the playbook. I saw a lot of motion, shifts, two TE sets and 4 wide formations today, including seeing Washington in the slot. I read somewhere that Cotchery was getting the first team snaps over McCariens, but that wasn't something I noticed myself. With so many different formations out there today, it wasn't easy to keep up, but Dwight had his share of catches. MM, I guess I didn't miss much at the evening practice. Maybe the plan was to look at film from the morning session and identify which players needed to improve on specific areas, and then work on those fundamentals in drills? The morning practice was mostly 7 on 7 and 11 on 11's. Just guessing. We'll all know a lot more come Friday night. Don, not a bad idea! I could use some extra cash! DJ7, could be. Rhodes might match up better against the big wide outs, but he's the one making the defensive play calls in the backfield now, so I'm not sure.
No.... after your last visit to Hicksville, there is a burger shrortage in the entire town. Not much Catsup, either.
We need to do that again. Not because I particularly care about the Jets, or hell, even football in general, but because you make some great burgers
