Actually we ran well weeks 1 & 2. Week 3 we didn't run much at all. Last week was the first time we struggled running the ball but it clearly didn't matter. I think part of the struggle was that we were clicking so well in the passing game there was no time to get into a rhythm running the ball. Still early though, like you said.
There is still alot of football left. Once Raiders start to get their players back healthy, teams won't get a chance to come back on the Raiders. Lets see what record they finish up with.
Getting the players physically healthy will be the easy part. Getting Al Davis mentally healthy is a whole other challenge.
We will see how good a head coach Tom cable is. Even Al davis dosen't really know. There is a reason why Al Davis picked Tom Cable. He is as important as any member of their coaching staff. With the Raiders switching to a Denver zone blocking scheme in 2007 , it would have been devasting to try and change Oline coaches now/next year. They are married to that scheme . while cable Oline isn't there yet, its noticebly better than the one he inherit in 2007. Cable a tremendous oline coach that eventually going to get that oline playing very well.( with scheme they don't need to invest high draft choices into that line)
"We will see how good a head coach Tom cable is. Even Al davis dosen't really know." Realisim is slowly seeping into the minds of the Raider faithful. It is the beginning of the end for the Raider Nation. Pretty soon they will be saying SOR.
Barton is the weak link in the LB corp, but I feel it's the DB's/coverage fault why we are giving up so many 3rd downs. One thing I noticed is the long pass is something most teams haven't even attempted on the Jets. Out side of 60 yard pass to Jackson, and two 30 yard plays to Fritz and Bolden, our team hasn't given up the big play. We've onlyhad three in 4 games. The YAC from short routes are killing this team though, and I don't know how you fix that. It's obvious we don't want to give up the big play but we are giving up the short stuff all the time. I think we need more speed on the Field at DB. I know Revis is fast and Rhodes is fast for a safety.......... other then that I would not say our secondary has speed at all. Maybe we should convert Miller into a Safety. That would help with the speed problem big time.
That is correct, you are pretty dumb. Next time I break down the Jets shortcommings on defense. Accept it as fact. Special K don't ever pass yourself off as a coach. It a slap in the face of anyone that coaches.
I've been hoping for that change to be made for several years now. Even when he was at Clemson, I didn't think I was looking at a future quality NFL cornerback. He always seemed to me to have more potential at the safety position.
What are you question whether or not I predicted Jets defense would struggle in pass coverage. Lbs were going to get exposed. Well its pretty easy to proved if Im telling the truth.
Tom Cable is the white Art Shell. What the Raiders got from Shell, they will get from his albino twin. In other words, a hopeless offense and a defense that looks good stats wise cuz the oppnents are happy to just run the ball and win 14 to 3. Which means more hype for the overrated Hair Dryin' Ryan and more years of torment for the Raider faithful. Your only hope is McFadden, who is the most talented player in the league.
