Well, now, that's more like it. I just now typed in Shady B - that's all typed in - into my browser search bar and the first three auto-suggestions that came up were Shady Brady, Shady Brady and Bill Belicheat, Tom Shady cheating. I still liked Cheats better but who am I to argue. I SAID WHO AM I TO ARGUE?! ; ) @Cman60 I figured that was the case. That's pretty much why I picked the original title that I did. I have to admit the title change did make me feel a bit deflated, unlike the deflator who to this day has still not lost any weight that we know of. Those fad diets, I tell ya.
Yeah, I read yesterday that he hasn't practiced and was probably out, then I read he was definitely out. Meanwhile back at the ranch, he said I've been jogging and my ankle feels great! The Cheats are notorious for fudging injury reports (and when I say fudging I mean lying), but on this one with Darnold I think he just tweaked it and probably was able to shake it off in a couple of days. He's just deferring to his superiors IMO and keeping his mouth shut. So while I don't think the injury was 'fake', I do think it was exaggerated, no question. Anyway, Sunday 1:00 p.m. EST, we're all gonna die.
The last time I checked they're the lone NFL team: - to be fined a quarter of a million dollars - to have forfeited first round picks on several occassions. . And for what? . . For cheating. I suck at Math, but Belicheat got fined $500K for Spygate and the Cheats got fined $250K, and lost a first round draft pick. Belicheat should've been suspended for at least 4 games, but he skated. Bob Costas could've nailed Cheatin' Bill on live TV during his first interview after Spygate, but he wussed and softballed him. I lost all respect for Costas after that. He had him on the hot seat and didn't even use the word cheat. Anyway, King Cheat claimed he "misinterpreted" the rule, when Goodell warned him via an official letter to cut the shit previously. He didn't. He "misinterpreted the rule", believe that one I'll you another. He was WARNED. That hump Belichick knows the rule book better than the refs, who is he kidding? The bonfire of tapes with Goodell present could've lit up the Manhattan skyline, and the tapes were destroyed because there's nothing to see here. What is this, Russia? Well, the tapes were actually stomped to death. Goodell did them a favor yet Goodell is out to get the Cheats, OK. He did it to "preserve the integrity of the league" (haha), which was repaid by . . . Deflategate. The Cheats got fined $968K (close to a million), Tom Cheat got suspended four games, and the Cheats lost a first round draft pick and a fourth. After the Cheats wasted taxpayer money by appealing and Judge Crater threw out the suspension, I'm not sure what happened to the fine. The judge probably put it in his back pocket. The moral of the story - as if using the word moral when referencing the Cheats isn't an oxymoron - is that stupid Goodell went on the war path over Deflategate because he felt like Belicheat spit in his face after not being grateful for letting him get away with it - relatively speaking - the first time. I have no doubt in my mind the Cheats will be exposed for good years from now when someone with inside knowledge who has nothing to lose anymore says fug it, and decides the non-disclosure agreement they signed is worth less than a book deal. It'll hit the NY Times Bestseller list before the first printing. It's not libel, slander, or defamation of character if you can prove it. I like these articles. If Anderson and Enunwa are 100%, we all can’t be throwing around the lack of receivers argument and putting some more of the blame on Bates/Darnold too. Those guys aren’t top of the mill but they are serviceable at least.
