when did getting a inch with a QB sneak become such a risky proposition?...I say go for it...you punt this ball to the Steelers and you lose
Even if they make it they would still have to go 40 yards and of course if they didn't make it the game is over
not just that. I think this would be an over 70% conversion rate (4th and inches from that spot on the field, as opposed to being near the goal line)
Announcers made a good point too, the Cowboys had 3 timeouts. If you go for it, you can control the clock since the Steelers can get only 1 first down before getting goal to go. Oh well, Cowboys punt it really far.
If Dallas went for it and didn't get it, you may as well bring out a firing squad for Garrett and execute him right on the field.
if they didn't make it, pit would still have to make a FG, and Dallas could call timeouts and probably get the ball back it would be a 39 yarder from that spot PIT would almost certainly run it
But the game comes down to them. The punt was unexpected, and very helpful but you would have guessed PITT ball on their own 35ish not own 20 which changes. But yeah would have been a job losing call if you got it wrong and lost
