The Texans played the worst 2 games in the past week and this week, we could have won if Sanchez didn't throw those INTs.
I think the Giants play up or down to their opponents. They had a great team to play this week, and they played great. They had a mediocre opponent last week and they played mediocre. They've got the talent to hang with anyone and when that talent clicks (as it did in the first half on O and 2nd on D) they are as good as any team in the NFL.
AFC is garbage this year. There as many teams over .500 in the NFC West as there are in the entire AFC. Falcons are winning squeakers against inferior opponents. Once they play real teams they'll get exposed. Just like the Bills last year.
So true for the Giants in the Tom Coughlin era, like last year, they get a huge win at Dallas, then the next week, stink up the joint against the lowly Redskins at home. They play to the level of their competition, and for Giants fans it makes them want to bang their head into a wall.
I agree with you in that it's frustrating. It sucked losing to Washington twice last year and it was downright embarrassing to be beat by Seattle, but it was also incredibly satisfying to beat the Cowboys twice (including outright undressing them in the final game of the season). I won't lie, I was also thrilled with the win over the Jets as I was more than a little irked with some of Ryan's in the previous few years. Of course, beating the Patriots to end the season was so incredibly sweet and I think punched Tom Coughlin's ticket to the Hall of Fame and (while I know some may disagree) also got Eli a spot in there as well. I think that close loses to the Packers and 49ers in the regular season also show this practice at work. The Giants play up to talented teams and seem to gain confidence from it. On a totally different note, I'm elated that they embarrassed San Fran and Harbaugh today. I wanted nothing more than to shut that smug, arrogant, whiny little bitch's mouth.
Jason Garrett might be the worst head coach in the league. Are you freakin' kidding me with that loss?? What an imbecile. The guy gets less out of his talent than any coach in the league. Where would we be right now if we had Demarco Murray, Dez Bryant, Tony Romo and Demarcus Ware on our team?
Haha Garret was terrible. That messed up sequence in the last 30 seconds was just dumb. They could have executed another play or 2 if they managed the clock right and could have gotten just 5 more yards for a good FG. Utterly stupid.
What could POSSIBLY be his reason for not attempting to gain some more yardage, when he still had a timeout left? Even if you had no timeouts, you'd probably want to try at least one quick out to give your kicker a fighting chance. Not trying to advance the ball WITH a timeout still in your pocket is mind-boggling. There really is no logical explanation for it. I didn't hear his post game comments, but I'm dying to hear what he had to say. for the record ... I had dallas +6 so I covered anyway
Denver goes 3 and out. San Diego goes 3 and out. Denver returner fumbles the punt and San Diego recovers. Wow Denver has fumbled 8 times this year and lost all 8. That's what you call BAD luck
san diego gets a break as denver muffs on their own 20 or so looked to me like there should've been a flag called for a fair catch and the coverage guy didn't give him space
I'm an NC State student, so I want Phillip to win this one. Hopefully he can beat the Broncos tonight, but he needs to start clicking on offense.
denver's special teams like oakland's special teams when the long snapper got injured two fumbles on returns, both recovered by SD
after sd's special teams from a few years ago was one of the worst in the history of the NFL, this year they're getting all kinds of lucky on special teams.
