Looks like we still need a CB - Stephens was listed as a safety and Thomas turned out to be a WR according to the Jets. No wonder they keep pouring assets into the position - the guys keep switching as soon as they get here!
First start and real game time so I’m trying to not kill him. Kid got cooked by Tee Higgins one on one for a TD though.
I dont think he was that bad. The Higgins play is gonna happen to rookies especially when the safety who probably should have been helping is a rookie. Nightmare matchup for a team missing their star CB and somehow we got killed by the run instead.
I honestly thought he played great. Yes he gave up that one touchdown but honestly playing corner as a rookie is the hardest job in the NFL.
For his first start against a top notch WR, - I’m pretty pleased. According to the stat sheet, he was also in on a lot of tackles. Hopefully he should only get better.
