that fucked the game. total moral depression. what;d keller catch that ball on the 8? With all the fucking penalties, and bullshit we held this team to 10 fucking points, and shut ray rice the fuck down.
Well, I certainly wasn't this guy, but I did think the Jets could and should go 11-5. Still do. It's funny how perspective changes over the season. We all remember the feeling in 2009 like the Jets were finished. Rex even announced it. Lo and behold. . . We could go 1-2 in these first three games and I'd STILL not rule out an 11-5 season.
Picking on Laury, what the hell have you been smoking? Mocking the way someone walks is just a bit of fun
Last time I checked Rex Ryan is your HC not Schotty. If there is a problem with play calling I'm pretty certain Rex would have no problem addressing it. Did you ever stop to think maybe there is a reason they didn't attack the Ravens thinned out secondary?
11-5? Perhaps but... The Jets already have one loss. Upcoming opponents include NE twice, the fish twice, the Vikes, Houston, Denver in Denver, Green Bay, and Pitt. And that does not include Cincy since I think the Bungles are overrated. Those listed are all imo for real, and none of those games can be considered close to sure wins. Nine games the Jets win five of? I dunno about that...
The Jets may be good enough to win a good number of those games but that doesn't mean that they will. Not when they beat themselves with penalties and turnovers and are afraid to put the ball in the air.
Let's not forget we're a 9-7 team. That's our record until we prove otherwise. We're 9-7. Looked at another way, now we're 9-8. I still say expectations were (and still are) WAY off the charts. Way too much SB talk, IMO. Way too much.
I've never been very sunshiney around here. Still not. I just expect more out of this team - particularly this offense - than I saw last night. If I wanted to be really pessimistic, I'd say that 2009's 9-7 record could have very easily have been 7-9. But I'm going to ride the buzz a little longer before I start inviting champ over for dinner.
