This is what I am most afraid of. Rex has a very bad habit of thinking that coddling them after a loss is the best medicine. Although I wasnt the biggest Parcells fan, I certainly had the feeling after a loss that he was as pissed off or more than I was.
I don't think Rex will coddle them this week. He is going to stick up for his team in the media, he isn't Childress. Off the record though, I'm pretty sure Rex lays into these guys. This was a tough loss, but I'm confident that we will rebound just fine.
"Off the record"???? Who is this? Sticking up for your team & coddling them when they need a whipping are 2 different things. Like I said, when I heard Parcells at the post-game press conference after a loss, -- you knew people were gonna get clipped.
We're so damn arrogant that we didn't wear any pink today. The lack of pinkness is directly responsible for this loss.
The problem is, we do some really stupid stuff. team is the most loaded with talent that i have seen in my life (d line isnt great ), but the miami game and vikings games were almost lost due to stupidity, and the two Ls on the book were due to dumb play. Today, turnovers had a lot to do with it
Yup. Just like at Seattle 2 years ago. Small undersized but quick defense...Do we line up Hunter and Turner and go for 5 yards a pop. No. We throw more than we run, and when we do run it's not from a jumbo package...
This team has the perfect attitude and the confidence that Rex has instilled in a short period of time is amazing. No team ever won a championship without believing they were going to first. They are not going to win every game. Get over it.
Howie Long yesterday: "As stacked with talent as this team is this year, they are only going to go as far as Mark Sanchez can take them."
Just out of curiosity, which NFL team do you coach? Since you have all the answers maybe you should give some advice to Rex. I'm sorry, I didn't realize we should have expected the Jets to go 16-0. Losses happen. Better against an NFC team than AFC.
Yeah I really wish we had a coach like this who would get after his players when they screw up. I hope we hire this guy after we fire Rex's cheerleader ass.
I hear what you're saying Willie, but Shotty at times thinks he's too damn smart and even Rex said he wished they had a more balanced attack. The fact of the matter is Sanchez had no business throwing the ball 38 times against a team with a beat up rush defense. We rushed 29 times including the ill fated fake punt, that stupid end around that got blown up. Shotty just got too cute.
I still can't get over this lost. We had all the rest we wanted, Revis was 100%, Defense played like the Champs and we played at our own home, but yet we got shut out by a banged up team. WTF! Why can't we just stick to ground and pound. I bet the offensive coordinator in buffalo is better than Shotty.
First of all, Sanchez, while not at his best yesterday, did enough to win this game. The receivers left too many completions on the ground yesterday. Don Capers was ready for the Jets and proved without a doubt that he is a better coach then Schotty. His defense was one step ahead of the Jets offense all day. Then factor in the errors the Jets were making, I think the Jets had five penalties before the Pack committed one. Then the biggest question is why the Jets played right into the Pack defensive scheme. As you heard Rex in his post game presser, he thought the Jets were not running the ball enough, almost everyone on this board felt the same way. Sometimes Schotty can be to cleaver for his own good, and when it start to go wrong he just seems to go with more trick bullshit instead of getting back to basics. As much as I hate this this loss, because it was this type of game we have fail to win in the past. We are still 5-2 and maybe this type of game is just what this team needed to stop believing all the headlines and hype....
