for all those haters out there, it was a simple question that did not illicit that sort of response. I dont know about you guys but when someone sucks and vanishs from a team, or your team, you dont actively try and find out his every update.

Whether you want to admit it or not, mike nugent was a huge part of this team and that draft for a few years, I was curious to see if he was even still in the league.

Regardless the people who actually responded without being a d*ck, thank you. Apparently he still stinks though.

Very true. But u didn't even know if he was still on the team which is surprising. It was reported his time in NY was up. He didn't wanna have anything to do with us, so we let him go. Ppl here were actually pretty happy about his decision cause the feeling was mutual.

The least thing u could've found out by going on the team website and look at the roster list. It would've been creating a thread and typing out what u were looking for. Not hating. Just letting u know there are easier ways to finding out these things.

Haters? You could have avoided further ridicule by just taking your lumps for a stupid thread along with the information you requested.

Your thread is inane because it's something you could have found very easily by just typing his name into a Google search window, as Exit 117 suggested. I've seen 7 year old children that apparently know how to navigate the internet to obtain information much better than you. It probably would have taken you less time to Google it than it took you to post your thread asking about him. And you'd also probably still have some shred of dignity as a fan on this board, too.

The problem with high-traffic message boards is that the quality posts get so buried under random, whimsical and empty thoughts by people like you, who think the forum is here as your personal football wiki instead of a community of fans sharing actual profound ideas and observations about the game.

You want to half-ass it? Jets Insider may be the place for you.

Right about the moment Doug Brien missed a certain field goal.

This. People also can't take you serious when your username is Chad Vs THe World and you have Chad as your avatar. It wouldn't even be so bad if you change the avatar and didn't type it as THe.

Like Abyz said, there are 7 year old children that apparently know how to navigate the internet better than you.

I just honestly thought that you were a time traveler from 2005 since your name and avatar hinted that Chad Pennington was still with us. I was just telling you about the future.

Don't get so worked up. Internet forums are where people poke fun at each other just for the hell of it. This is true even between fans of the same teams. We may be enemies on boards from Monday-Saturday, but come Sunday, we are all friends and share the same objectives.

It was actually doug Jolley and Nugent for our first round pick. Jolley lasted 1 year.

I sort of wonder if the Mike Nugent pick, being as high as it was, was a response to the horrible O'Brien.I have to admit that i wasn't totally against it at the time, for that reason.

We also took Justin Miller in that round the same year. That's what you call a horrible round. We essentially gave away two 2nd round picks and received nothing in return.

It's not like we ended up with Kerry Rhodes through that trade or anything.

Yeah, but ex post facto GMing does not negate the real-time retardation exhibited that infamous spring weekend.

What are you talking about. Either i'm not understanding anything (quite possible) or or...i don't know what. We drafted Kerry Rhodes. Sure the pick came from a trade, but that is not directly related to the nugent/miller pick. You can't argue that if we hadn't picked either of them we wouldn't have picked rhodes.

Of course not, I just like being a dick to people who trash the trade and can't remember half of it.

On a semi-related note, what happened to Jesse Chatman? Is he playing anywhere right now? (I know he's not on the Jets anymore)

Also, if anyone wants a funny read on ex-Jet Quincy Carter, read his wiki page
