The problem is we needed to see a convincing win today for 2 reasons....... last weeks cluster in Oakland and playing host to the bills on Thursday. Todays W is nowhere near convincing and that has many fans on the ledge.

You can be pie in the sky all you want, but you are just lying to yourself if you point at the record. This team has been a bad football team since the 4th quarter of the Pats game, and we have a short week ahead. This could end up being a "schedule" 9-7 or 10-6 team just like Mangini's first year but they aren't building toward anything and will have as many questions going into next season as they did this one. If we weren't playing AFC South and NFC East this season, we wouldn't be in this position. What exactly is our best win right now? Nothing to point out at all. 2+ straight games of bad football. Some of us are just ahead of the curve with how we are viewing the team.
I'm 73 and I've seen too damn much gloom and doom. This team does that to you. We win you bitch about certain players and plays. We lose you bitch about coaching , ownership and the fans. If other "good" teams do this then they are bad as well Right there is no way we are beating Oakland for a playoff spot, they gace Pitt all they could handle today. I couldn't care less what we did last season. We have an ENTIRELY different coaching staff, completely revamped secondary, a new qb, and a legit receiver to go along with Decker. If you're complacent with the way we have played thus far then I'd say you're the SOJ fan.
I don't have the time nor patience to scroll through the Game Threads. Were those 5 douches crying for Geno to be inserted? Possibly when Fitz underthrew the 25 yard pass to Marshall because he just soft tossed it, they thought maybe he didn't have the arm strength to make that throw even though he threw 30 yard ropes? _
Prior to the season the majority of the fanbase pegged this as a 7-8 win team with 9 as the "best case scenario". At the half way point we are 5-3. We get off to a good start and suddenly we are are in the running for a deep run into the playoffs. You have people whining and bitching about every game like this team was something built over the course of many seasons and is under performing. The players that were brought in were done so to cover up "some" of the glaring holes left by the last guys. They were probably brought in to bring the Jets roster, and organization, up to a level of "credibility" where we don't have to overpay everybody. If we have a nice season, ok, but the reality both before the season and now is that this roster is going to be in flux for a bit no matter how many games we win this season. If they didn't manage to 100% accomplish anything else, Tannenbum, Bradway, Idzick and Rex, managed to leave this roster a complete mess.
The " send a message" nonsenseis silly. What does that even mean? Send a message to whom? Theres two teams playing on the field. We made some good plays, we made some bad plays. And we won.
It has to piss the players off. They go on the road and have to deal with obnoxious crowd noise and then they come home to this.
