Chrebet was about as fearless as it gets. Besides that, Coles and Cotch are very good over the middle. Both men, especially Coles, took some viscious shots last year. You can't ask guys to do more than what they did.
Keyshawn has not had a 1000 yard season since 2002. Even then he barely made it and had a whopping 5 TD's that year. In 2001, his best yardage season...he had ONE lousy TD. Probably his best year was in 1998 for you guys...1131 yards and 10 TD's He is not worth your time.
I wasn't taking anything away from those guys. I was only pointing out that a lot of people have this perception of Key as a primadonna. Hey'd talk a lot of crap, but he'd back it up on the field.
And just how did he back up his calling Chrebet the "team mascot" on the field? He went way beyond trash talking about how good he was, he trashed team mates. No play on the field "backs that up". I'll say it again.... when the Jets went to Tampa that first year, he invited about 20 ex-team mates out with him for a dinner party. None of them were white guys. But, all the players he trashed were, but not one black guy. Do the math. He was a disrupter, a guy who found ways to divide team unity.
But see, when I said "on the field", I meant "on the field". Not in the locker room. Hate on Keyshawn all you want, but it's not at all what I was posting about. For a guy to take the licks he's taken, and miss just 3 games in 10 seasons is impressive. Be nice to have some of that durability on this team.
He's also the only receiver in the NFL, that can make Ray Lucas look like a quarterback. That said, we already have two #2 receivers. We need to draft a fast guy like Sidney Rice, or Johnny Lee Higgins
