Once again, you are on record as hating Magini. No butt kissing in the future when he gets us the ring " Vickblows". You are a fair weather fan. Bet you loved him last year. Oh yeah, you are from Florida,so that means you know nothing about PRO Sports.
^ I'm not from Florida I live here douche bag and I never liked ManWasteOfThreeYears You don’t have to “know anything about sports” to see that Mandoofis is a bumbling retard.
Ok. First off, its been 2 years with Mr. Mangini unless you did not like him when he was with the Pats. Secondly, what did you not like about him last year and thirdly, were you a fan of Herm?
I am origanally from Jersey, but lived in Florida now since I was young. I think I know a little about sports, especially that I have been watching this friggen team for over 20 years now and the only bright spot we had was when Parcells was our coach.
^^ When he was at NE – he ran the worst defense in the Belli era (I don’t want to hear about injuries). I didn’t like the idea of hiring a no experienced ball boy for our coach from the start solely because he came out of the ‘Bellichick’ system I thought he did a pretty good job last year and thought that I may have to stand corrected on my original prediction: Year 1: 5 – 11 Year 2: 6 – 10 Year 3: 3 – 13 (fired) But he is proving to be right where I thought he would be. Last year we didn’t beat anyone we shouldn’t have with the exception of the Pats in the mud where any game plan gets thrown out the window. Other than that he has been completely schooled by the chicken (and pretty much everyone else but Cam Cameron) I didn’t mind Herm his first few years but his shtick got old; I officially turned against Herm his last season when we opened up against KC and looked like we hadn’t practiced in three months.
Fair enough. I loved Parcells but not just the coach, I also loved Parcells the GM. Like you, Herm's schtick got old but turned on him when he played Chad with a bad shoulder and replaced him with Vinnie . I had no pre- conceived notion of Mangini from the Pats. I thought he did a great job last year but I was not under any illusions. Our schedule was easy and that's why we went 10-6. This year, the coaching staff has done some things I did not like and he has made some lousy decisons, but I think most of that comes from the talent level we have, not from lack of coaching knowledge. We traded a bunch of picks to move up in the draft and did a good job their, but we bascially had 2 players added to our roster via the draft and all our free agents failed sucked. I believe the problem lies with our GM and free agency, not the head coach . I can not see how you are so down on him unless you do not like his personality which I could care less about. BTW, fire him after 3 years, sorry, he gets at least 4 because we have no QB's
Another bright spot, the late season emergence of Pouha as a potentially reliable rotator on the defensive line for 2008...
And making up those clever-to-only-you nicknames for him makes you look like you're 12 years old. Grow up.
With a rebuilding team I think some people were expecting miracles. We overachieved last year and underachieved this year. The coaching staff is young and needs all kinds of experience, both good and bad. This type of year may turn out to be a blessing in disguise as the team has shown there is no quit in them even though the season was lost weeks ago. They could have thrown in the towel but didn't. How they respond to this type of year will determine the type of team, players, and coaches we have.
LOL cause injuries to Seymour, Harrison, and Bruschi shouldn't and wouldn't affect any defense. Good point. Yet another reason why Mangini is a crappy coach. You got a new zinger on his name?
I agree with all of these. I think Baker really solidified that he is our TE; the guy can catch. His blocking still needs work, but I would take that as a trade off for now; I still remember Brady and Becht and there lack of running ability and catching ability. Cotchery has really continued to blossom this year. The guy is a solid #2 receiver for next year; especially if we trade Coles. No major injuries - well there were a couple but not a rash like 2005. Obviously Vilma's injury is significant. I also would have liked to see what Clancey Stuckey could have done this year. He showed promise until he got injured in pre-season. Obviously, Justin Miller's injury was also significant; it enabled us to discover what Leon can do, but Miller was also very, very good at returning the ball. I don't know whether Miller can actually be a quality CB - maybe use him as back-up depth.
