    Because:
"Poll: Who would you want to replace Edwards or Holmes next year (if we have to)?"
" Holmes vs Edwards - Who should go, who should stay?"
" In the event Braylon signs elsewhere... "

All apparently need to be in separate threads, all discussing things that have been poster earlier in different threads.

    BESIDES ANY OF THAT.
This is just plain stupid, the OP knows it won't happen, all the posters know it won't happen, everyone in the Jets organization know it won't happen, for fucks sakes my 90 year old grandmother most likely knows it won't happen.

    p.s. It's discuss, not disucss.

What if Mark Sanchez is executed for treason?
What if Muhammed Wilkerson leaves the team to take his pilgrimage to Mecca halfway through the season?
What if Nick Mangold is mistaken for a bear by a hunter and shot while hiking through the woods near his house?

I bet all of my vcash that Vinny Testaverde could just roll out of bed and take over the starting role if this happened.

Okay I gotta ask where this fantasy keeps coming from that we're gonna even have the ability to negotiate with Steve Smith. It's not happening. Before you even get into the "is it a good fit for us?" hypotheticals you need to look at the logistics and realize there is no way in hell we're even going to negotiate for him, unless Tanny wants to blow a 2nd or 3rd round pick.

All that being said, I would fucking hate to lose Holmes but we will survive it.

    Do not sleep on Kerley.

Watch this kid in action and tell me he's not Jaco at 22 years old. Even better he's Jaco at 22 years old with the 30 year old version of Jaco there to teach him the details.

I assume Smith is gone so to me it's about the big 3 FAs. As long as we get 2 of them I'm ok, I'd prefer the 2 WRs but as long as we got 2 of the big 3 back back.

I appreciate everything Brad did, I'd like him back but he's going to want more money than we can spend so I wish him good luck in the future as long as he doesn't go to NE, Mia or NYG.

I would sigh, because it is what I expect to happen. It is what always happens when we have big money FAs. We dick them by not signing them long term the previous season, then we let them walk if they don't ask for less.

Where are these examples of this always happening in the past?

I really don't want to lose Holmes.

I'll still watch all the games though, regardless of roster changes -- so, I guess my answer to the question, "what would you do?"

Nothing different. Well, maybe drink more.

Thomas Jones, Keyshawn Johnson, Rob Moore, James Farrior, Jason Ferguson, Randy Thomas... I know there is another offensive lineman I am missing.

Not many examples, but the Jets haven't been loaded with talent until recently.

    1. LT > TJ...
    2. we got two first rounders for Keyshawn. One of which being Shaun Ellis.
    3. James Farrior was never really that good on the Jets.
    4. Jason Ferguson sucked on the Cowboys.
    5. It's not our fault the Redskins stole all our players in 2003.

The Rob Moore example was a really good one example though.
We really shouldn't / WILL NOT let all four of these players walk.

I'm still a little bitter for letting Farrior go.

    Jones we let go
Key had a year left on his deal, we traded and got 2 qst rd picks for
    Rob Moore we traded
Farrior had ONE good year in 5 years w/ us

I can buy ferg and Thomas but neither were the talent that Holmes or Edwards are. Thomas espeaiclly, a top guard but very replaceable, ferg got a silly deal b/c parcells went to dallas.

He was offered more money than Pitt signed him for and this was after one good season in 5 years w/ us which happened to be the contract year.

What if the Jets terminated all the contracts and disbanded the team. What would the NFL do?

It's pretty much a no brainer. I would call Tannenbaum and demand he finds out what Curtis Conway is doing.
