Agreed! I was against signing Holmes and for keeping Cotchery/Edwards the whole way. It pissed me off when they extended Holmes then basically brought in Plaxico Burress and Derek Mason to replace Cotch. I would've asked for my release too.
Don't forget the guy they got to replace him Derek Mason, age:dirt retired: 15 minutes after we traded for him. Mason's ghost played out the rest of the season in his place.
I respected him as a Jet even after his off field f ups. While everyone was attacking Sanchez he believed in him and supported him even after leaving the JETS. He was also a very reliable WR for us and fixed his ball dropping problems.
