The quotations weren't necessary. The guy is real and was going to sign up here back in 2006 to battle nyjunc in a college football thread. Ultimately, he passed on it because he's not a Jets fan and figured he didn't want to waste time signing up here to fight with some random guy on the internet. The real problems have come up when the ass poll thread gets mentioned in other threads by clowns in an effort to derail threads. Ask SundayJack. He'll tell ya. How many times has someone disagreed with me on a football topic and then ridiculously made a comment about a pitcher's ass in an attempt to piss me off simply because that clown could not win a football debate with me? Quite a few times. I can probably dig up 10 threads where that happened. Some people here are pathetic and need to let certain things go and keep certain things within certain threads or forums. It's not just me. IJR has complained about this same issue.

It was actually Steve Breaston I was thinking of, not Doucett. I'm certainly not offended that I wasn't on the list. I've got like 100 posts compared to 10000. I know enough about football to have a legit conversation with anyone about it. At 30 years old, if I was elected to the top 10 posters on a website, I would probably call it quits that same day out of embarassment. I could just imagine telling my friends. I love how it's JUST YOUR OPINION when you are wrong... but when other people put their opinions on here, you bash them. And no, I'm not talking about me. Keep in mind, that unless you are actually scouting players, and watching hours of film on each guy, you are just taking someone elses opinions and pawning them off as your own. How can you be so steadfast in your arguments when you are using someone elses opinions half the time?

I watch a ton of college football - paying attention to highly recruited players is a hobby of mine. My bad for caring about something that most people don't give a fuck about. Were you one of the guys that was obsessed with Jerry Hughes? I don't really pay attention to posters that don't know half a shit about this game...so I can't really remember. Several years ago, the "defending 'most knowledgable poster winner'" took exception to me leading in the votes. I didn't even want to be nominated. He and his his posse then proceeded to take any and all kinds of shots at me. It was fucking ridiculous. I even asked not to be voted for, and some took that as a political move! I ended up getting the most votes, and what did it get me?... When it was over, I ended up with a vacation, a vacation that was two weeks but I made it more like 6 months by choice, and while I was gone, he got the perma ban. I declined to have the "Most knowledgable poster award" posted with my avatar. Just made me a target. It's really just all nonsense. I'm glad I'm out of the cross hairs these days, I just want to post and talk Jets. That voting and posts like this one generally aren't a good idea IMO. I think the way this thread has gone proves my point. I'd like to see more Jets football and less flaming and clique-ish behaviour. All too often there is a gang mentality here, even when someone starts a reasonable thread. Mr E, you attack as often as those I speak of. More civility, more respect, and more tolerance would make this board better than what it is now. Rant over.
Who gives a shit? Even if some of what he drops are just opinions he's gotten from other sources, it's stuff most of us don't know about otherwise. I sure as hell don't have time to research every player. I see big names and the Pac 10, and I wait until I hear a name a few times from one of these guys before I go check out tape on anyone else. No one gives a fuck where it comes from and most people are amused by the asshole routine. He's steadfast because it's a goddamned message board and he's allowed to be.
