many fanbs wear jerseys to the games, it's not like people will put some crappy white t shirt over their jersey anyway. people dress differently going to basketball games and there are only 20,000 compared to 70,000+ in an NFL stadium. is it that hard to bring something white you already own?
Yes, if you ever took science in middle school you'll be wearing light colored clothes regardless of the marketing ploy. If they made it a "Green Out" I'd still wear white. _
I've got white, I'm saying that there are a bunch of people who are willing to participate but won't be informed.
Actually this type of awareness by the team is one of the reasons I gave up my seats around 1980. At the same time they were advertising "the New New York Jets" and trying to sell me additional seats, they repeatedly turned a deaf ear to my pleas to get out of the end zone bleachers and into real seats on the sidelines.
I would guess most, if not all, season ticket holders are on their e-mail list and have been e-mailed about it.
This will work if they actually fill the stands with football fans, not CEO's who think its neat to have football tickets so they can further stroke their slimy pulsating egos, who usually just end up giving their tickets to visiting fans anyway. I know we showed up for the New Orleans game, but why can't we have a vibe like that '09 patriots game in the old meadowlands, for every game? I would love for the place to be rockin on sunday, I know I'll do my part, but if you wanna create a real football atmosphere you have to go the source, and that's the type of people your putting in the seats. I miss the gritty old days of section 328 in the old meadowlands.
One of the reasons it doesn't work is that usually there are a LOT of fans of the other team at games.
Whoa! I started to make a joke about it sounding racist, but decided not to as I didn't want to ruffle any feathers. LOL
Considering the raiders fans are gonna be on all black I've been holding back shouting race war for 2 days now.
I disagree with this. I have had Jets season tickets for a while, and I've also been to a lot of Jets away games. There are not any more away fans at a Jet game than Jet fans at other team's home games.
teams like Oakland, Pitt, Dallas have great fanbases across the Country and they always show up but since we moved to the new Stadium I have noticed most teams have a lot of fans at our games. our fans travel well too but I think it has gotten much worse at home since the new Stadium was built.
I would love to see this, but I doubt the stadium will all come in White lol. I dont even own a white jersey
Well I think giving out the white towels should help, don't they do that a lot in Pittsburgh ( Joking of course ) I have to admit I am interested to see how this goes over.
