I admit it's been 12 years since I've been to a game, and have obviously never been to the new stadium, but while I lived in NYC (from 1986 to early 2002), I went to quite a few home games and there were frequently a lot of fans of opposing teams there and not just a few times, it was almost even. Part of the problem is that a lot of the Jets fans who were there were standing in the corridors talking, smoking, tailgating, etc. and their butts weren't in the seats cheering. Since then I've seen a number of Jets fans comment on the same thing in various Jets forums, so, while I'm not disputing your word that things have changed, at least in the perspectives of some other Jets fans, they haven't changed that much.
Yeah and the Jets played like crap that night except for the last 5 minutes........... I think the best regular season atmospheric games were the Patriots in '09 and in '10 somewhat but nothing like the old stadium.....
I hate when the orginization tells fans what to wear to games,People are paying good money to watch these games,if I wanna wear an orange shirt I'm gonna
From the looks of it, poorly.. I checked their site and most of the white jerseys available in adult size are for former players (Namath, Revis, Nacho, Tebow). The only current players available in mens white are Scott, Vick, and Mangold. Awful job by their marketing group not having more availability.
New York Jets @NYJets ยท Sep 3 Players are wearing all white on Sunday. Gear up for a #NYJetsWhiteout & RT to spread the word! pic.twitter.com/vRV4LlpSlj
oops.. I was thinking Harris. Damn its even worse... Whoever is in charge of marketing needs to be fired.. no one promoting their skill players, stars or top draft choices... Johnson, Ivory, Decker, Smith, Amaro, Snacks, Richardson, Calvin Pryor.
