We have 3 young QB prospects on the roster who now have the opportunity to learn the ropes from a HOF QB. What they do with that opportunity is up to them.

When you think of all the draft picks who ultimately don't pan out, trading a draft pick for even one year of Brett Favre is a good deal. It's a draft pick, so what?

I think you miss my point (which I tried to emphasize in my last paragraph, using capitla letters in referring to the Packers FOOTBALL team). The FOOTBALL team (the guys who have to take the field, and ultimately win or lose games) benefitted from him coming out of retirement. They get extra reinforcement from an extra pick next year, and there is likely no downside, they never have to play his new team or even compete for playoff positioning with the Jets, so teh better he does, the better off they are.

The ORGANIZATION has some downsides, yes. I already elaborated on that in my post you replied to but I guess you missed it (even thought that's 1/3 of what I wrote). The ORGANIZATION is something different than the TEAM.

^ no I think you are the one missing the point. I'm not going to explain it. Reread and try to understand if you care.

To make it easier for you, I do not have any disagreements with you from a football standpoint.
