REX RYAN!! lol, It's between Big JENX and REVIS & David Harris & Bart Scott & Rhodes & Pace & Ellis..
individuals aside, rex ryan makes the defense. bart scott's attitude makes the defense. we have a new swagger on D. we obviously have great individual talents on D but Rex Ryan's aggressiveness is a huge part of what we do.
Best: 1. Revis 2. Jenkins 3. Scott 4. Harris 5. Rhodes 6. Pace Importance: 1. Jenkins 2. Revis 3. Scott 4. Harris 5. Rhodes 6. Pace
Kris Jenkins is downright dominant and often looks like a man amongst boys. W/ that said Revis is the best. The guy is so good that the announcers mention him once a game tops. There was one part of today's game when Jim nance stated "Where's andre johnson?" Which had no response....but every jet fan in America stated outloud "Darrelle Revis"
By the end of the game I didn't even realize Andre was still playing. Revis. But as Rex said the entire unit looks great and seems to have gelled fast and smooth. When Pace comes back it can only get better, kind of scary
the thing is that Jenkins is good in that if he is not on the entire D sucks, so he is the most important player on Defense, but if I had to go with talent I would have to go with Revis
Kris Jenkins and Darrelle Revis are both at the top of the game in terms of how good they are compared to peers. Revis shut down one of the best wideouts in the league yesterday, Jenkins physically dominates a group of offensive linemen. I'd have them rated equal, but without Jenkins, Revis suffers. The push goes to Jinx.
Jenkvis is cute. well done. We have two all-WORLD players on our defense! Man that is fun to think about. What other NFL teams have two defensive players as good as Jenkvis? MAYBE Baltimore and Pittsburgh? Who else?
Jenkins wreaks so much havoc in blowing up the middle of an Offense that it makes everyone else's job on D that much easier. However Revis, Scott, Harris and Rhodes are all right there with him. And when Pace comes back I'm sure he'll be in this group too.
I know he's not the best, the best on the front 7 is Jenkins (although both Scott and Harris were monsters yesterday) and the secondary is definitely Revis, but can Jim Leonhard get a little love?? This kid is very undersized yet he did his job well enough that the few times the ball was in his direction it was him drilling the shit out of someone. 5-foot-9, right? Gotta love this kid. He could be our Chrebet-type on the defensive side of the ball.
Difficult to say who is the most talented as there are different responsibilities and for each player to stand out/do their job it really depends on entire unot performance. As so many have said Jenkins is very key up front in allowing the others to do their job. I'm a fan of LBers and can't put a paper between Harris and Scott at the the moment. Loving that Westerman in his first game proper got a sack. Also love the fact that for the first time in years Jets D appears to be monstrous. Long may it continue
