How can you choose Bart Scott over Terrell Suggs? There should be no competition.

3....at least that is what they say. He will get a 3 year 27 million contract from somebody.

That's true. If he's available at a decent price and it doesn't cost us much to dump one of the other guys, then fair enough.

I voted Suggs...because he's young and the most versatile of the 3.

But in all honesty...I'd take any one of the 3...they all bring something to the table that the Jets defense can use.

Suggs is easily the best of the three, so I voted him.

With that said, any of them would be great.

Although Ray is old, he brings an unmatched presence to the locker room and field, this attitude has been transferred to many players and he is a catylyst, I wan't that here so we can get future generations to follow in his same nasty footsteps

With Suggs, at least Tannenbaum could get more creative as it would have to be a big buck long term deal. Easier to make the first year cap friendly that way.

What we really have to worry about is how many of them may end up in NE. Glad Pioli is gone from there.

I want Scott because if they bring in Suggs that's probably a bad sign for Gholston lol.

But I want a good ILB to go along with Harris. I would love to see them draft Maualuga but I dont think he will be their when they pick.

Yeah, I was just thinking that. They gave him 20 million in guarantees. What happens to him if they bring in Suggs? Pace isn't going anywhere and I think it would be silly to try and make him into a DE in the NFL.

No, Maualuga won't be there but Laurinaitis may be.

Get rid of all the current Jets linebackers, cut them, and sign all three of these guys! Get it done Woody!

    Suggs >>> Bryan Thomas

    cut Thomas

start Pace/Suggs...and rotate Gholston in there on pass rushing downs (which there should be plenty of this upcoming season) :)

none of em. All will cost waaaaay too much and i think the jets should draft an ILB like maleuga or laurinitis.

not that i'm disagreeing with you....but....the contracts handed out to 1st round draft picks are just as astronomical as some of the FA contracts.

I couldn't care less how much money these FA's will want...that's Tanny's problem to figure out. If he can somehow work his magic with the cap...and land one or two of these LB's....I'm all for it.

Leonhard is the only one i would take from the ravens, he showed that he's got ton of potential at the safety position and Rhodes needs to go back to what he does best. The only big free agent i want is Asamougha, him and revis at the corners for a long term and leonhard and rhodes at safety for long term would give us the most formidable secondary in the nfl for a long long time.

Corner/Safety being our biggest need (outside of quarterback), should be the only positions addressed in free agency. Corners go for big time dollars now, but they're worth it, and safety has been a real problem for a few season now. Fill these holes for a long time then you can improve inside the corners in the draft.

First off anyone saying Ray Lewis is getting slow and isn't impacting the game anymore really has never watched a ravens game or is really into crack. Ray told my cousin last sunday night that he is going to work out all day every day for 120 days and that no one will have ever seen anything like him. "I will call all the coaches just so they can see me because I am going to look like something no one has ever seen before and then I will get all the money"--- he isn't slowing down at all boys trust me

I would take Ray Lewis. I would love to see the day that we would have Brett Favre and Ray Lewis on our team at the same time. Now, with their sallaries, I don't know if it's possible, but it sure would be fun to watch.

In the real world, we could probably have one or the other, but not both... unless someone takes a huge pay cut :(

    My thoughts exactly.
I'm kind of wary of us drafting OSU players. Nugent, Schlegel, Gholston... Mangold is the only good one so far.

I agree with the assessment on our DB's if we get Asamougha and Leonhard. But the key to success in RR's system is the LB's (but with more emphasis on OLB's). If we can't generate pressure on the QB and he has all day to throw the ball, it won't matter who we have playing DB. So whether I agree with you on the Leonhard signing, I think the best way to make a FASTER impact on D, will come with the right LB's in place before adding a corner. Not to take anything away from Asamougha tho. He's hella-good.
